Do you use the same measurements if you use non PRS pickups?

I know in the video you suggested standard humbucker measurements for the 509 pickups... what about the middle pup?

If I send my PRS to you guys, do you do refrets? If yes do you refret with stainless steel jumbo? If not then can we do DGT type jumbo :)?

Bit of a specific question, but I have a set of Dragon ii pickups out of an old 2005 CE22 and I was thinking of putting them in my Zach Myers SE. However I’m not sure the best way to wire it as the ZM has not coil splits and the pickup selector is on the upper bout not by the rest of the controls so how do I move the selector wire up there?

Something is wrong. This is information from PRS web site: "With the high and low E strings (E and G strings for the Electric Bass) depressed at the last fret the measurement should about 2.5/32 (5/64”) on the treble side and about 3/32” on the bass side of both pickups.". He told in this material : 2/32 on the treble site and 2,5/32 on bass site.

This talk about 32nds is incomprehensible to anyone who is not from the US. This is great info, but please condiser also using international units! Thank you!

The 85/15 have a raised portion of the pickup.. should we measure from the top of that or still the center of the pickup?

What about the Studio model with Narrowfields and humbucker in bridge?

Hi, thank you for the tutorial. I'm a beginner in pickup adjustments, but based on what I understand from your video, I am supposed to adjust all of the Humbuckers pickups on PRS guitars at 2 mm on the bass side from the bottom of the string to the top of the middle of the pickups, and 1.6 mm on the treble side, on both neck and bridge pickups? I just purchased an SE Paul's Guitar. The neck and action needs a little adjustment for my preference, but before do so, I thought I would take measurements of the factory pickup setup. Measuring from the bottom of the strings to the top at the bottom edge of upper single-coil pickups, they measured: neck bass side, 2.08 mm, neck treble side, 2.22 mm, bridge bass side, 2.34 mm, and bridge treble side, 1.73 mm. This seems a bit off from your suggested heights, and a little strange that the neck bass side is closer to the string than the treble side and also closer than the bridge bass side. Are these pickups tuned and set up correctly before leaving the factory in Indonesia? Should I set them back to the same distances after adjusting the neck and action? Or should just get them closer to your recommended specs? Thank you!

My bridge pickup is tightened as far as it can be and there's still 3/4" space between the pickup and the string. Any solutions?

So those PRS specs are not supposed to be measured from the top of the pole piece?

I have 57/08 pickups. One side has 6 screws, the other has flat pole pieces. Do i rest the ruler on the screws as they are higher than the rest of the pickup, or just on the plastic part of the pickup? Hope that makes sense.

Just bought a PRS SE Custom 24. My neck and middle position sound almost the same. Only a very subtle difference. Any tips on how to adjust? Or should I have a tech check my switch? Is this a common issue?

Any recommendations on pickup height in terms of magnetic pull on the string? When I adjust the pickup height I feel a different action and tension on the strings.

Disappointed that he didn't do what the description says ("Check-in with Skitchy to learn how to adjust your pickup height...") He didn't show how to adjust the pickup height, unfortunately. There's another guy who does PRS setup videos so I will see if he has done one.

omg my pickup fell in my guitar as it was too low (prs se 24) can someone tell me how to but the screw back in without it falling back out...

i reset my pickup height in my silversky se tonight. I put lollars in it a couple years back and was basically just meh... the guitar has come alive. Thanks PRS

Why such different height specs compared to PRS's own guide on pick up height?

Why not giving also mm measurements, these 32nd makes no sense to most people, only USA uses these awkward measurements!
