C6 Diona vs C0 Layla Shield

Note: They are wearing same artifacts and both Lvl 80/80 (Layla has higher base HP, hence the HP difference)

Only difference is Diona has Lvl 11 Skill (because C6) while Layla has Lvl 6 Skill (I don't have enough Scara boss mats)

My layla can handle a lot of attacks tbh

Layla if is builded full hp and Skill leveled up that shield will hold more then Diona, i have them both on c6 and laylas shield is almost unbreakable a bit worse then zhongli but not that far away... but if you want more buff and heal go with Diona. Layla's c4 is good but a bit inconsistent in my opinion but anyway both of them at c6 will perform ok but layla will be better from shield perspective

The problem with layla shield is you have to use at least 1or2 skill from your support for the shield to shoot, and it means fewer time for the main DPS to hit without worrying about being interrupted

I’m stuck because I’m gonna be doing the Ayaka Layla kokomi kazuah freeze team but I’m giving tenacity to Kokomi, and I’m conflicted on what set to give Layla. Right now Layla has 4 piece emblem severed fate as a cryo sub dps….what artifact set would be best for Layla in this situation?

I’d recommend using Layla if u have her cons since she buffs atk spd & auto/charged attack at c6. Very good buff, great application and she’s doing v well w me at abyss. Have a good day

Wow I would've expected the Layla shield to be better since the numbers make it seems that way

Diona be like : Buff through passive, decrease stamina consumption, tanky sheild, heal, more than enough particle generation, cryo battery

Also having cryo damage bonus ascension passive instead of Hp % so that she could also dps 🥲

I love layla her overall concept and char design. But in terms of being a shielder Diona is the better investment. hoyo needs to buff layla bit 😢 u can only fully see her as a good shielder when she's on level 70+ with c1 or c2, with max talents plus the 4pc tenacity.

Layla is weak

Layla is better. Her shield is much stronger and she's not clunky like Diona(you have to hold E to have a decent shield + the burst is easy to miss and too slow).

Both are different. Layla offers a way stronger shield and can also wield the 4 piece tenacity, making her shield even stronger. On top of that Layla has better cryo application than Diona, allowing her to be used in freeze.

Diona however doesn't only offer a shield, but also healing. The con abt her healing is the fact that if time it wrong, you'd ruin your entire rotation because her heals flew across the field. The field does reduce enemy attacks by 10% tho

Imo I prefer using Layla. Maybe because mine has better artifacts than Diona, even tho my diona is c3 and my Layla only c1 (and she has a 100% uptime on her shield which makes me feel safer). But it rlly depends which u rely more on. Diona's healing is nice but her shield won't tank much, while Layla's shield is better but she just doesn't have any heals.

What's the point of comparing a c6 vs c0 character it's an idea but it makes one look worse at the same time.

The shield should probably not be compared (though I will say Layla could potentially be much tankier Diona has many special and unique abilities)

I personally have a broken Diona build with 35k hp
220ER+
4pc tenacity
Sacra bow (each of the of the 5 paws has a chance to reset the cool-down which is insane at R5)

I use the light tap which has a very short cool down and it’s amazing for co-op having beautiful uptime on the Tenacity sets buffs (and her shield too, it’s like 1 sec downtime with the tap)

My Diona can function as a healer, em buffer, shielder, cryo applicator, range user, atk buffer (with tenacity), shield strength buffer, cryo particle massive battery especially with sacra bow

In the right scenario my Diona can tank all 6 azhdaha slams (I just need to refresh my shield with sacra after 3 slams) and my allies in co-op are invincible)

Diona in my eyes functions like a cryo Zhongli 4* with easy to get cons, lots of options

I won’t judge Layla too much since I know little but I personally prefer Diona for her incredible support prowess and vast options

Some people say Dionas shield is paper thin but my build essentially nullifies a lot of those issues and it isn’t even perfected yet, if I ever reach 40k hp I doubt many things could stop her

I also enjoy how her shield is super resistant to cryo (250% I think)

The only weaknesses of my Diona is her lack of personal damage and how overloaded does a lot of dmg to her shield (but it’s rare to be hit by that reaction nowadays)

Hmmmm I have both but not sure who to build... Diona gives heal but I know laylas shield can absorb much more and if it protects me 100% of the time... Will I need heal

Diona is a good character but since I have both Kokomi in my team she is a bit useless for me(for now. I stil didn't built my 4* characters) and I can't use bow characters soooo (Also don't use shield or bow characters cuz I don't have good weapons, only yoimiya she is my main DPS)

Ganyu, kokomi, diona and venti.
So Layla can replace diona here, someone said the layla sheild wasn’t leveled and also, diona is just a bit weird to use with ganyu (freeze)…also layla is pretty 💪
