4 Secrets to SUCCESSFUL ETSY ADVERTISING (You Can Start Doing Right Now!)

Hey Shawna! So wanted to let you and your viewers know that we used some of the Etsy Ads strategies you suggested and THANK YOU SO MUCH! I was honestly a little skeptical at first, but thought we would give it a try. It took a few days to see the change, but when we eliminated the weaker keyword searches we increased our daily ROAS so far from about 2.5 to 6. This is unbelievable! Really great advice :)

Hi. When you turn off a search term for an ad, does that also apply across your whole store? For instance, if I turn of "search term + bracelet" in a shirt listing, will it be possible for that search term + bracelet to appear for another ad, in a case where I'm actually selling a bracelet?

I asked Esty Help this question, and the agent seemed to say that if you turn it off in one place, that decision would apply to the whole shop.

Is she right? That doesn't really make sense to me.

Hi Shawna! When I go to optimize my ads (turn off irrelevant keywords) there’s a note at the top of the screen that says “if a keyword seems irrelevant, just turn it off. This is just a test for now, but your feedback will help us improve Etsy ads.” Does this actually work, or is Etsy just gathering data? I’m still doing it, just wondering if you see the same thing? 🤍

thanks for explaining that so clearly, i do have a question - how long did you wait to start adjusting your ineffective ad words? etsy reccommends us not touch the ads for 30 days but seems that that would be alot of $ wasted if there are obvious terms that show up asap that arent appropriate. thanks for any help

THIS VIDEO!!! I think it's going to be a game changer. I thought the videos I had seen about SEO were pretty detailed, and I thought I was doing a good job. I had no idea about all this ad data and that you could toggle on and off which search terms people are finding you! And it made me realize that my tags are WAY TOO broad.

Etsy appear to be hiding the search terms within Etsy Ads! Not sure if it's one of their experiments. So frustrating

I’ve had my shop running for a month and today I got my first order with 50 listings! I only get about 2-4 hours a day (when my two babies go to sleep because I dont like to be ignoring them in the day) so I’m spending every second making my shop better and more trustworthy and doing anything I can to boost sales and reviews quickly. I am so determined to make this work I dream, sleep and eat shirts 😂 slightly sleep deprived sometimes, anytime I can get without the bubs I’m on my laptop making designs or fixing errors. I felt guilty the other day because the 3 hours I had I spent making my banner better and making my profile more inviting, changing some mock-ups and redoing color charts even organising all my files. Everything was a mess but It feels so much tidier now and I don’t regret doing that instead of just posting stuff because I think it helped me get my first sale.

Shawna, I discovered your channel from the interview with Cassiy! So glad this happened! :) would you share please what max "Spend" amount you allow for your listings? When do you decide it is time to switch it off if it does not reach 3 of ROAS ?

At what point do you turn ads on? Do you do it after a first organic sale or do you do it as soon as the listing goes live?

Doea the goal for the ads matter? How many listings would you out on Ads base on the daily budget? How do you know keep the listing on the ads or not? Got clicks, but no sales😢

I'm curious for the numbers break down its an average of $68 per order or more if you divide the Revenue by amount sold, are these all group orders or is it a mix? I've been watching your videos since early July and im going back to watch videos i haven't seen, but the numbers don't add up if your shirts are priced at 22-24.99 Do you happen to have a video about this?
