Over 700 hours across multiple playthroughs, I check on Hewg religiously, we go fishing at least once a month, he is the godfather of my child, and I have never heard this dialogue.

Hewg loosing himself, Blaid going mad and iji being consumed in the flames of destined death will always break my heart and haunt me for the reminder of my life

He got everywhere at the end of timed

This game made absolutely zero sense. One of the most poorly written pieces of crap I’ve ever come across.

I loved Hewg…

Boch calling us lord was a special moment, but Boch was also enamored with us since we helped/saved him.

Hewg owed us nothing, and in fact probably disliked the tarnished in general.

We won him over by virtue of strength and tenacity, and that feels so much rewarding…

Him using his final moments to affirm his belief in us says a lot.

Wow. That voice actor killed it in this. Talk about some tears.

It's only the best of the people in the Lands Between who call us lord or encourage us to become one, and it's only when we're kind to them and help them. Because that's the kind of lord that they need, a kind one. Not some brainwashing subservience masked as kindness like what Miquella offers, but ACTUAL kindness.

The relationship between Hewg and the Tarnished has always been interesting, he starts off thinking very little of you, thinking you’re just like all the other tarnished roped into this role, but as you start to claim more pieces of the elden ring, Hewg is surprised to notice you’re not like the others, and that there really is something larger than life about you

If Elden ring ever reach the gamepass, I will make sure to use the sword in that anvil (Banished Knight Greatsword right?) to kill the final boss.

I have beaten Elden ring twice and every time I see the round table hold burn I just become sad that it is empty and master huge why did they have every one die the only person who didn’t die is rodrika

While Igon and Rykard do amazing. I feel like Hewg’s VA is absolutely incredible and underrated. (He might not be underrated. I myself just haven’t seen much talk about him) Being able to do voicework like that without actually going through what Hewg’s going through. Just so impressive to me, since I can only really do my own voice.

His way of making out sentences makes me wonder if this was Joe Biden loosing himself for a second. 😭

This isn't even the part that broke my heart when you find Rodrika out in the front area where she started and hewg then asks you who she is and why she's crying when she looks at him what's so sad about this is she was sort of afraid of him in the beginning of the game it shows how far the relationship went just for him to lose himself completely in the end after more than likely becoming the only father figure Rodrika had..
