The Sonic Riders Remake is Looking Great!!

Oh my god... Sonic Riders.. I love that game so much. I'd give anything for a new one. Add multiple versions of characters and such. Get Sonic Prime in there too, it would be amazing. I always played as Tails with the Grinder skates.

Better include the story mode

This saddens me a lot because I wanted to revamp sonic rider by taking it apart and expanding the potential that the game had so that it's cons weren't being that the maps were too small and very repetitive. The idea is great and had far more hidden stuff in the game than what most people inherently figured out.

Looks good, though I will say it's missing the spin the control stick part of the levels that also make you go faster and refill air

I wish that Sonic Riders was remastered for the current consoles. I’d love to see this happen in real life and I hope Sega will actually make this a reality cause this looks absolutely amazing. Props to the fans making a Remake/Remastered version of the original game. I only grew up with Sonic Riders Zero Gravity and never experienced what it was like to play the original.

Is no one gonna talk about how the first track was 4 laps instead of 3? Cause that's something I noticed.

I've played Sonic Riders when I got it for Christmas 2006, nearly 8 months after it was released during president's day 2006. Unfortunately I never got the sequel on PS2, but I did see the walkthrough of Zero Gravity many, many times. But unfortunately I felt that the sequel never really played the same way the original did. So I use to play the first game more often than the second one. Now, seeing this being remade and restored with new features, mods, etc. Man, it feels like Sega has LOOOONG forgotten about this Sonic spinoff and thus the fans did an amazing work getting it to where it is now.

To this day we still own the copy of Sonic Riders, just that I don't play it too often because I always find it difficult to get on the rails (Speed characters only) and jumping so high you get towards the second platform (Which in Metal City I always struggled to get up as high as I can. And end up aways on the bottom for some reason.

Imagine if they made a new sonic riders game for the Xbox But it would be cooler than Free riders Zero Gravity and sonic riders Combined and it would have some of the same mechanics and they add hyper sonic that would be sick

I like how it looks, but I do not remember being able to do tricks when you ride the river. Maybe they added it to replace randomly circling the analog stick? Also I am curious if they will implement the tornado mechanic. Where you use air to leave a tornado and if your opponent is not careful, they lose momentum. Though i found that more useful for team stuff.

Edit: I also do not remember flying ramps being used to do tricks on. But it seems like a good addition.

little nitpick I got about the into, Sonic's legs move so fast he looks like a single PNG image, maybe make the legs have a little longer time to be shown so we can actually see they do be movin'.

It's broken, like maded by pure memory and not by coping it's exact mechanics

Pretty much the last good sonic game made.

I shattered my wrist playing the original as a kid.
During the part on each track you have to spin your joystick, I used to go a little too hard and my hard slipped off the controller, smashing open against the chair I was sitting in.
My wrist was the size of a softball for two weeks.
100% would do it again for the remake.
