I am doing everything with a 5 1/2 month old shelter dog that your videos suggest. He still poops in his crate, sits and steps in it and flicks it outside of the crate! I left him for 10 minutes this morning in a playpen and after pooing at 2 am and 4:45 am, he pooped in the playpen at 5:45am. I am going to return him to the shelter. What can I do to stop this? I am beyond frustrated.

Reading through these comments I cannot understand why people don’t understand what having a puppy means BEFORE you get one. If you work all day, if you live in a high rise, if you don’t understand you’re bringing home a newborn…then DON’T GET A PUPPY!!!

I thought i had him trained, and recently he’s been peeing inside again 🤦🏻‍♂️

What I've found to help is to take the puppy outside as soon as it wakes up and within 15 minutes of eating and drinking. Keep them leashed when outside on the grass. You kinda have to ignore them and let them wander and sniff around, but the trick I find is to keep them moving. Within a few minutes, the puppy should relieve itself. At that point you can praise the puppy. If the puppy has eaten, he will also need to poop, so keep him moving until he does and of course, praise him afterward. Then when you bring him out the next time, try to stay close to where the puppy has relieved himself before.

Help. I do this and interrupt her midstream. Pick her up immediately take her outside and she does nothing. When she does this, I pick her up. Take her back inside. Put her in her crate. Wait a few minutes and then try again and still nothing. What else can I do?

my parents would scold their dog and rub their nose in it 🤦‍♂I did this twice with my pup and I'm never doing it again. It was a terrible experience and her demeaner was destroyed afterwards. I'm thankful to have resources like this to help train my pup in more constructive ways ❤

i, like many other people have jobs and school. in the morning i will take the puppy out but i do not have time to supervise them when were back in doors. i am convinced these videos cater to the unemployed

My dog just walks outside and poops as soon as I bring him inside and take him to the cage . Everytime I take him somewhere he doesn’t want to go he poops himself and acts a fool
