Game Theory: FNAF Secret Of The Mimic LIVE Theory Crafting!

I kinda assumed the Recycling in SotM was a lie, particularly when we remember how a lot of Edwin's other inventions turn out.

But behind on the fnaf lore and was wondering if someone can sum up if glitchtrap is mimic or afton or both?

I had a thought: in Ruin during the last part where we run away from the David mimic just before that Gregory says “Just follow (static) instructions” and then he proceeds to guide Cassie to the lift like he knows those tunnels like the back of his hand. Do you guys think it’s possible that the “Gregory” guiding Cassie is actually the Fiona mimic just using Gregory’s voice?

Cradle wasn't Mxes, there were 2 mxes. one had the M2 blueprints in it the other had cradle. if anything I think the old computers are Mxes as they seem to be the brains for the mimic. So the mxes we see ruin is probably m2's brain. reason why fiona was named while the other wasn't is probably because he hadn't gotten it to work yet. Also where was M1? you see her in computer form, but not in animatronic form. so what happened to her body? Also she had executive access so why did she have to trick others into bringing it to her if she could move around on her own? it sounded like her body was gone by that point, why?

I wanted to add some things I considered to the discussion:
1. The location seemed very simular to JR's in midnight motorist.
2. Edwin was a SUIT creator, he had never really made any robots, in theory that's Henry's role. Did Henry have a hand in the creation of the Mimic? Espeically with it being semi-simular to Charlie in the Silver eyes or whatnot.
3. (not as much of a theory as it is an observation) The entirety of everything in this game being the mimic seems odd to me, because the origonal storyline that never mentioned AI/the mimic. when the origonal handful of games were to focus on the afton family, and their pain. it seems weird to introduce a new storyline of vanny, then do a turn to AI suddenly (If that sounds confusing I apologise)

For future theory livestreams would it be possible to write on a tablet and have that displayed onscreen as opposed to the paper? If that was a possibility I feel like it would be easier to write on and also be easier for viewers to see

hear me OUT. random thing i thought of only 40 minutes into this video so he could talk about it. is there a chance that the david mimic ending is the real ending and then the mimic IS the crying child mimicking david as david afton, then when the crying child gets chomped by fred bear it breaks causing william to drop the bar “i will put you back together” but then said mimic relearns violence from the bite causing them to seal him away? is that too much of a stretch? i just think the parallels between the two kids are too important even down to the mf TOYS they have.

I think Fiona, after getting the data driver in the bad ending, she uses it to complete and run the cradle program, using her own “body” as storage for it, creating mxes and transferring her conscience to the helper machine instead (and that’s why in ruin she’s helpy), letting mxes trap the mimic underground until security breach

I can confirm the redacted puppet designs are not that puppet, in the Italian version of the game the word puppet is translated with the plural of the word, meaning that those are designs for various different puppets

I think Henry was an admin that worked there, and is the one who flipped for william. William offered a bribe for someone to manage a restaurant. It’d make the most sense thats Henry imo.

In the newest theory about the crying child name,did we not discover the name Dave/David,when we flip the name in the mirror?Can this somehow be connected?Or we are still at 0 about the actual name of the crying child.

So I’m very late to this video but at the timestamp of one hour and 16 minutes we’re talking about how it says that Henry was the creator of the spring locks in the book. It could be that Henry and Edwin came up with the idea together that Henry took credit for it after Edwin die. But just because they’re really good friends and they work together, it could be that some of Henry’s ideas were taken by Edwin and created.

Because they’re such good friends, they might have shared like ideas even if Henry didn’t get credit for those ideas originally

Also on your comment about the water damage, it could be that Henry didn’t want to use the spring lock originally because of the water damage and he didn’t want like that liability so he just didn’t use them but then he re-created them and made them better theoretically and that’s why I Afton says oh that was Henry’s invention because he made it better

If it’s taking the haunted route can we talk about the black and white tiger that popped up in the game as well as its connection to the mimic in the secret ending.

Do we know for sure that David died in the game? I know that William afton is a kidnapper in the books and movies, and if his kid is Dave Afton… we also never see David’s body at the playground

One question: If the Afton Family/Henry Emily's family was supposed to be a game within a game... then how did they send a message to Edwin in Secret of The Mimic? + with Henry implied being friend with Edwin.

Wasn't BABY, Aftons attempt at making the Mimic? Cuz Baby even said she likes to play pretend. And the Mimic can be anything like when you play pretend.

Am I the only one who believes Edwin died ? When you get to the executive office and play the tape you hear an explosion or some kind of accident and Edwin begging for help and the mimic letting him pass and being snarkey due to his past with Edwin breaking it and always dismissing it after the passing of his wife and child.

I would find it interesting if 4625 keeps getting repeated so at in a game in the future there is a door with the hint of “repeated” and 4625 is the answer. Kind of like how in Doctor Who there was bad wolf

HOW dose secret of the mimic fit in the lore

I dont think that the supernatural aspect has to be removed or retconned at all, and infact, it does seem like there is some sort of paranormal activity that happened following Fiona's death and what prompted Edwin to make the Mimic and the M1 program in the first place. When we find the secret room in the White Tiger section, the audio recording available indicates that, after Fiona's death, Edwin while in this same area, had heard her voice. We also learn that Edwin isn't sure how the Mimic and M1 work at all, he has no idea how he got the two to function in the first place and appears incapable of replicating them, despite the clear attempts to make a second Mimic endo. During that same White Tiger section, the White Tiger itself stands alone when compared to everything else we encounter in the game. Sure the Mimic can quickly swap bodies without us being able to see it do so, but no matter what other shell it is wearing, the one thing we never see it do is teleport while wearing a suit. Thats what sets the White Tiger apart, you could be walking down one path and then suddenly the Tiger spawns in front of you, and its not a case of it already being there in the dark and suddenly becoming visible from the Star Orphan light, we can actively see the whole suit just POOF into existence. It could be argued that by this point Arnold is so tired from being awake for 36+ hours that he is starting to hallucinate, which can happen starting after more than 24 hours of wakefulness, but why would he start hallucinating the White Tiger? Up until this point in the game, Arnold has had almost no opportunities to see the Tiger at all for his brain to start hallucinating it. It just makes much more sense for it to be a paranormal event, rather than the Mimic in the suit. We also need to take into account the Tiger's behavior. It stands there. When it spawns in, all it does is stand there menacingly, but it never moves to actively chase Arnold, not until the section where the lights begin going out and we have to run from one light to the next, and even then it wont attack until it has caught us in the dark. The Mimic hasn't operated in that way at all through the whole game, and has instead relentlessly and actively hunted us, running towards us the moment it sees us or the moment it hears something, but it has never stood there menacingly just staring.

So, my own personally theory as to why M1 worked in the first place is that Fiona's spirit was able to actually inhabit the Mimic endo and the self learning AI system the endo had. After David's death, Edwin attempted to make a second endo but failed, and instead, with Fiona's encouragement, removed her AI and placed it in the F10 N4 computer, and attempted to teach the new program in the Mimic endo, M2, to be David. This attempt failed though because, unlike M1, David's soul hadn't attached itself to the AI like Fiona's had, and instead got lost beneath the MCM, eventually manifesting as the White Tiger, his favorite toy.

Could afton actually be Murray and the games just changed the names for legal purposes? I may be mistaken but I was not fully paying attention. Or could afton be like a gamer tag or something?

If it is implied that F10N4 maybe killed David, was this to generate "Remnant" or whatever it is in order to imprint David's memory into mimic 2? Which may beg the question, how did Edwin imprint Fiona into F10N4 after she died in the fire at Fall fest, did he recover some form of "remnant" from the fire?

I don’t think Edwin exists I think Edwin represents William or Henry. Most likely Henry because of the fact that he has chica. Idk if Ts was said or not I js wanted to say it :P

What if Edwin is the protagonist of pizzaria sim. I mean we all assume it’s mike. But they don’t say it, and Henry says the guy is one who obviously wanted to be and such. It’d be a culmination of all three the fathers trying to pass on the legacy of tragedy they made together in a sacrifice…… idk just random thought.
