He said pray for
Not forgive him
I have this book The Bait of Satan. I have also listened to the Bait of Satan auto book. Has it ever changed my life. I have repented for being offended and holding onto the hurt of a friendship.
But after I listened to your auto book I realized a lot about myself.
The one thing I never want to do is put a wedge between me and God. That’s what happens when we hold onto offense. Today I’m so much better and thankful for this book you wrote John. It’s changed my life.
I just started to pray for someone who hurt me and it was so hard... but I'll try doing it anyway. I really hope that one day I could fully forgive him and I am completely healed.
ОтветитьI forgive everyone... I let go all offenses in jesus name 🙏 🙌
ОтветитьWhat if we forgive someone who won't repent and you have to be around them all the time or even just sometimes...there is no reconciliation, so by showing them love, aren't you just acting reconciled? Doesn't forgiveness in these situations give the impression of reconciliation without repentance? And do you know what the Bible means when it talks about the church guy who won't repent to the wronged church guy, even when he brings witnesses, so the Bible says to treat him as a non-believer...what would that be like, to treat someone in the church as a non-believer? And this story doesn't say whether the wronged guy forgave the other guy or was supposed to forgive him.
And when the Bible says those you forgive will be forgiven in heaven, and those you do not won't be....but it doesn't follow with any reprimand for not forgiving... And what about the part in the Bible where it talks about the guy in the church who was sleeping with his stepmom, or someone like that, and to shun them from the church basically? Isn't this acting unforgiving to someone non-repentant? What if that guy keeps showing up at church and everyone just ignores him...then that's love? Which might make him repent? They probably didn't ignore him with hatred or revile? But with hope that it brings him to repentance to restore him to Christ? But then this could mean we should sometimes ignore or avoid people who are unrepentant, if it leads them to repent? Then are we supposed to forgive, but ignore/avoid unrepentant people most of the time, unless, like in your situation, God prompted you to go to him? However, the silent treatment is considered abusive and even narcissistic in the world, though not in the Bible.
And what about in Revelations where it talks about the martyrs in the alter crying out for justice? If we're to forgive without repentance, then why are these people in heaven crying for justice. Isn't wanting justice not forgiving?
I agree with your message, but I am confused about these parts of the New Testament in relation to forgiveness and how we are supposed to be/exist with the non-repentant. And if some things shouldn't be forgiven? Is "love" not enabling sin in many situations and is ignoring/avoiding someone not the answer?
This is one of the best talks about this I’ve heard in a long time. Definitely the most relatable and helpful. Exactly what I needed to hear. I’ve been trying to heal from a very hurtful toxic relationship for almost 2 years now and have been stuck wondering, why am I not healing?? But I see now that forgiveness really is key. It doesn’t mean letting them back into your life, but it means letting go of all resentment and choosing to love them with the love of Jesus from afar. Not trying to FIX the past yourself, but forgiving them as GOD would, and taking on the role of praying for their prospering instead. It’s HARD. But it’s the best way. And the most HEALING way.
ОтветитьI Am Survivor of Human Trafficking Heal ME JESUS 🙏😭😭😭
ОтветитьYes JESUS AMEN and Amen 😢😢😢😢
ОтветитьIf you have been offended, you have the right to be offended BUT when you choose GOD, you GIVE up the right to remain offended!
ОтветитьI'm not easily offended, imo, but when a pastor deliberately avoided me on many occasions and withholds civil engagement with me after many times of me reaching out to him, that was the straw that broke the camel's back. I left that church, and continually have been treated with disdain from this person even when I when our paths cross. I know God understands my heart and mind and I am well aware that Christ endured and loved His enemies. But God does not expect us to pursue friendship with them or be their friend or buddy. I want nothing to do with this person who regards me with contempt. The Lord said I was in good company as "He was despised and rejected of men". ~Isaiah 53:3
ОтветитьThe lawsuit must have been made by a leftwing political ideologist. They're the offended by everything.
ОтветитьNo, it's understandable why people are offended and hurt but understand this, forgiveness does not mean to let the abuser, the person off the hook but it rather means to hold them accountable and responsible but without becoming like them because Gods wrath and justice and judgement will come for them if they don't repent and change for the better with a genuine regretful and remorseful heart, the reason why God told us to forgive was so in order for the cycle of pain and evil to end, besides how else are school shooters created? how else was john Casey created? How else are so many other terrible people created? Because of the things they've been through in life to the point that they become exactly like the ones who wronged them and as soon as that happens, they hurt other innocent people just like they've been hurt and when that happens, the cycle of pain and evil continues on and on until there's nothing but a bunch of dead bodies and pain but there is also another way to forgive and that is to let God heal you, restore you, and fix you because God is also reliable to pain and he is always close to the broken hearted and he is always there, weeping and suffering with the victims and he will carry their pain and burdens and will turn their situation into something beautiful because God cares and justice will come, I just think this preacher needs a bit more of an understanding
ОтветитьX on his long sleeve shirt... X is 24.... 2024... many will be offended... 2024 election ring any bells?

ОтветитьI was blessed to recieve an 'emergency bed' at a Christian based, live in, facility. The wings of life... your "bait of Satan" 12 part course, caused me more personal and spiritual progress than most programs. I thank God first, then you, for being the instrument that our Father used to embed this message within my spirit. I am SO incredibly thankful that He delivered me out of the hell I had made for myself. I pray your message continues to reach hundreds of thousands of both believers and the luke warm. 🙏
ОтветитьI never knew this man, but a friend gave me a copy of this book and I’m like wow 😮

ОтветитьSeems like a lot of people on this thread have swallowed the bait of satan...hook, line and sinker.
Prayers!
Since I was born again I have forgiven all who offered me. it helps to not walk in offence. Love those who hate you. Forgive those who offend you.
ОтветитьGod Almighty led me to this video when I was getting ready to listen to a political podcast. I have struggled with forgiveness from people I felt did me wrong my entire life even after being saved since 28 years ago. This podcast reached me to my core. God Bless You for what you do❤
ОтветитьThe Lord's Prayer: we have to ASK God's forgiveness - but have to forgive others without being ASKED to be forgiven?
ОтветитьForgiving them (who will NEVER utter "I'm so sorry for destroying your life") - for the worst a person can do to another without killing them - is MORE than enough - reconcile? With narcs? Never. Bible also says to STAY AWAY from them. They are God's problem - not mine.
ОтветитьPowerful message 🔥🔥
ОтветитьIN* earth as in heaven. Earth is our bodies 🙏🏽
ОтветитьAre you saying we should never ever take offence AT ALL regardless the pain caused?
Ответить🔥🙌🙏
ОтветитьI take offense when people offend God.
I take offense when people offend me, because God created me in His image and this is an offense to God.
And, I just get down right Angry, when other christians?, offend my salvation. This too offends God, by discrediting the work that His Son, Jesus Christ did.
This use of Gods Word, doesn’t set right with me. It’s His Word but there seems to be a lot of Fruit missing here.
Should I take offense or just be angry?
Great message
ОтветитьI have this book so good. So true love this book every one should read it. ❤ Forgive but do not continue in the abusive relationships.
ОтветитьPlease pray for my friend's daughter who was in a car wreck
ОтветитьYes yes Amen!
ОтветитьWe can forgive and love people from a distance who abuse us intentionally but Jesus does command us to forgive them anyway
ОтветитьForgiveness made me free. I thank God for showing me the way
ОтветитьYears of sorrows, mistakes… not lies. Hurt and greatly judged. I honestly fought to find people. But the deep hurt was not alleviated. None would acknowledge right or wrong . I eventually hermitized .. I was about to leave so far away…knowing it’s not an answer. Someone close crushed me and it was enough. I found John’s book in the midst. I’m fighting but it’s hard. I never wanted to be angry or bitter Didn’t want to be alone in heart , mind and soul. I realized the day I took a Trip with an estranged relative, I was the one holding all kinds of offense. It’s lightened. Trust will be hard . But the spirit is willing. I keep on . Trust Jesus and keep working it. Till I’m free. Till they’re free. Amen
ОтветитьThere are plenty of wolves in shepherds' clothing, and growing by the day (ie: "Sparkle Creed", "Prosperity", "Universalism", "Westboro"). They do more damage than even wolves in the pews, since they can teach wrong things to many people at once. Jesus had very harsh words for the Pharisees, who were in positions of power, high position, teaching others to be self-righteous hypocrites. John's right that we must test every spirit and take every thought captive. We also must read The Word for ourselves, rather than relying on pastors and priests to discern God for us. That way, we're far less likely to be led astray or become enticed by the enemy.
ОтветитьWhat if you had followed the biblical grievance policy and gone to your brother earlier and sought to discuss how you were feeling in love? I don't disagree with what you are saying, however the church needs to manage conflict in a more healthy, intentional way.
I also think it's inappropriate for someone else to say a child of sexual abuse should forgive without validation of their extreme pain and being trite and black and white. We need to be more sensitive and engage tender-loving -kindness.
I didn’t how bad I needed to hear this until now thank you Jesus Christ 🫶🏾🫶🏾
ОтветитьAmen
