They really did a great job sending off the Queen with this piece. Legit gave me shivers when I heard it

This paired with the marching drums and the minute gun and muffled ring from Big Ben during the Queen's final journey out of London was fantastic and moving to listen to. (as has been pointed out the state funeral version was mendelshons funeral march op 62.3)

This music has haunted me since Her Majesty's funeral. This was a generational event.

It all comes down to this in the end. All of our squabbles, slights, aspirations, dreams, achievements, failures, and animosities. All to the same end.

This is what should be played at many weddings instead of the usual Mendelssohn's 'Wedding March'. LOL!

I know Fournier took a lot of artistic license with his painting of Shelley’s cremation, but something about it… It’s so arresting.

Those of you coming here from the Queen’s funeral procession, you’ve got the wrong Mendelssohn march. You’re looking for Op. 62 No. 3 (from Songs without Words), which was originally composed for unaccompanied piano. It is the more common of the two, though IMO not as powerful as the one in this video.

This march, Op. 103, was specifically written for a military band.
