I told my female colleague at work to shut her mouth and put a tape on it & breath litely. I got reported to HR as been a misogynist. 🤗
ОтветитьThanks, Patrick, great info!
ОтветитьGreat Video. This kind of breathing through the nose helps the body send off endorphins. Helps up speed up by slowing down .
ОтветитьI would add one small aspect to this and that is the unconscious tendency of many of us to constantly tension the stomach muscles, specifically because we're ashamed of our gut/belly. It's a societal issue. But if your stomach muscles are tense, and in many ppl this is the situation 24/7 because the body shame is so deeply embedded in the psyche, your diaphragm will not move freely, you'll breathe via the upper chest, and that in turn leads to mouth breathing. It's a vicious circle that is not easy to break. Also, wearing restrictive clothing will interfere with deep breathing.
The ironic thing is, sucking in your gut doesn't fool anyone but yourself. Just relax and accept your shape. You'll breathe better and feel better and that is what other people will notice about you 😊
I found you only a few days ago and you hit a bell for me - I am now finding I am focusing on breathing through the nose - its so clear I do not usually and I sometimes feel oxygen deprived or that I have not breathed in enough - but I am not backing away and opening my mouth - the bad habit will be broken. Thank you for the information - why isn't this given more air play and doctors not focusing on it?
ОтветитьI have to do wim hoff through the mouth, two, I try running and only breathing through the nose, its tough to do!
ОтветитьWas good to hear Wim Hof admit that whilst he recommends his own style of breathwork in the morning, that we should probably breath through our noses most of the day.
Funnily enough that is what I've been doing for 2 years now. Took a while to adapt to nose breathing post exercise effort, but now it's become the most effective way to recover.
Thank you sir 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
This doesn't Support the Narrative. Beware!
ОтветитьThank you for this insightful presentation on the subject of nasal breathing especially during this time of covid. I have learned a lot and will share this information to my family and friends.
ОтветитьEvery breath you take
And every move you make
Every bond you break
Every step you take
I'll be watching you
How about when both of your nostrill is blocked nearly most of the time?is impossible to force yourself to breath throght your nose any advice on that?
ОтветитьThank You Very Much !!!
You solved my puzzle question which hinders me for so many years. I am 4 time cancer survivor. During my last cancer surgery recovery, one of the nurse told me that my oxygen intake is too low. She told me to breathe more.
No doctor ever told me that in my 67 years.
But, you have.
Thank you very much.
I now see the light at the end of the tunnel.
I snore through my nose as well. How do I stop this?
ОтветитьCan anyone tell me how to get tape on my mouth. I have tried all kinds I always wake with the tape off.
ОтветитьAm trying to stop my mouth breathing with having bad anxiety at times..i've noticed i feel calmer already :)
ОтветитьWhen exercising should I breathe through the nose, and out of the mouth 👄 or nose 👃 in+out.?
ОтветитьDoes anyone have experience with HeartMath hardware and software package?
ОтветитьHello I'm living here in Denver and having severe muscle cramping anytime I exercise and when I check my blood oxygen is around 93. Any thoughts about living at 5,000 square feet and intense muscle cramps?

Ответитьhow much air inhaled during L S D OXYGEN ADVANTAGE BREATHING, ? I CAN FEEL ONLY INHALED AIR UPTO NOSE MAXIMUM , IS IT RIGHT METHOD ? PLEASE REPLY
Ответитьthis is completely false! otherwise I wouldn't begin to black out from breathing fast, and especially through nose and mouth together. I have never felt anything anywhere near as invigorating as breathing vigorously and oxygenating my body! Maybe you should learn somethings instead of being indoctrinated.
edit: yes! while breathing through both nose and mouth it's only possible through diaphragmatic breathing. It's amazing! Also playing didgeridoo, circular breathing can only happen as you strengthen your diaphragm. You won't breathe through your nose during exercise unless you know how to breathe with mouth at the same time.
my jaw was recked and never correct at 16, I'm now 42.
maybe implement resistance training to the diaphragm!
I have a question can you tag me and maybe make a video on exhaling with the mouth or nose. When I was younger I was told to exercise in the nose out the mouth
ОтветитьThank you Patrick for your advice and pleasant delivery always so helpful
ОтветитьThank you sir, for the worthy advise and insight.
ОтветитьHe says to slow down the breathing rate and increase the amount of breath proportionally, and then he says you get more air by simply slowing down the breathing rate. Sorry, but that's nonsensical. It's the increase of the amount of breath that's doing it, which requires purposefully taking very deep breaths. How difficult is it to double the size of the breath you take, which would be required if you were to cut the breathing rate in half and just retain the amount of air taken in overall? I don't know, but it seems like it would be difficult, unless you're a very shallow breather to begin with.
ОтветитьThank you so much :)
ОтветитьI don't really know why but I always equated a deep breath with a full breath and I believe many people understand it this way. At least when you tell someone to take a deep breath they will usually take a hearty inhale through their mouth in the upper chest. Even with mouth closed or Even when using diaphragm most people will equate deep with full. I only now start to understand that by deep you actually mean the bottom part of the body which has nothing to do with taking a full breath. Even as a non-native English speaker I am pretty sure 'deep' is a somewhat ambiguous word in this regard and it should simply be described by breathing with the diaphragm or "into the belly". Imo you should emphasize more that a deep breath has absolutely nothing to do with volume and that a deep breath can still be done with low volume. Just my opinion.
ОтветитьExcelente. Gratidão
ОтветитьReally need this info now! Cannot grasp due to pinky, fast, repetitive music in background!
I don’t need to be entertained while trying to digest medical info. Everywhere one
goes……..MUSIC/NOISE!
Do i breath out through the noise as well?
Ответить👍
ОтветитьCan you tape the mouth with a mustache and beard??
Ответитьexcellent
Ответитьi do not get why my teeth hurt when i tape my mouth. it does not touch my teeth, how is it possible?
ОтветитьDoes this include during exercise as well? With each repetition?
ОтветитьSo to summarise, we have to breathe in and out only through our Nose right? Please can someone confirm
ОтветитьKudos!
ОтветитьExcelente. Gratidão
ОтветитьI am too lazy breathing using my mouth..
Ответить🦾🦿🤐
Ответитьmy diaphragm feels crazy right now
ОтветитьVery interesting, thank you for sharing. I like breathing through my nose but it must be horrible if you have continuous nasal congestion.
ОтветитьExcellant lesson for good health and God bless you and basal breathing is teaching in yoga class and Bundle of thanks
ОтветитьPatrick I’m doing the oxygen advantage classes! What causes lung burning and pain under the ribs and to mid back area, after long Covid issues. The pain is unbearable when I get flares.
ОтветитьHow can I buy the myotape for beards in the uk?
ОтветитьPatrick, do you need to have music in the background? It's so nice and relaxing to hear your gentle, soothing voice. The music could be more helpful. It isn't very pleasant. I consider your knowledge and guidelines so important that I must put it with disturbing music.
ОтветитьNose breathe is hard when moving
