How to setup Canon Pixma TS6420a Printer with Wifi and Wireless Printing

So u have to have the pc or lab top turned on to tell it what to do. What if u only want to make a copy that display won't let u with out having the pc or lab top on??

Guys I'm stuck connecting to lap top clicked on down load but window pops up that says The app you're trying to install isn t a Microsoft verified app

This is the only printer I have ever seen that can only scan 1 page at a time. I have a 9 page document and now I need to use another printer. What a stupid design.

Shaking the cartridge does nothing, the ink isn't fluid in the cartridge, its embedded in a sponge

What does it mean when it says needs router password?

If you bought a Canon 6420 return it Canon is going bankrupt this year you won't have ink and it has no support for any of their systems I sympathize with your problems get rid of that printer you'll regret it if you don't

So are you not able to scan multiple documents from the back tray? What the point of having to paper feeders? We have looked everywhere trying to find tutorial on how to scan from back feeder. Grrrrrrrr, so frustrating having to scan 1 page at a time

On the TS-6420a I've been unable to use the Pictbridge feature to print from a camera over Mini-USB-->USB-B. It looks like Canon has disabled that and only provides Pictbridge over wifi. Seems like Canon is ignoring the majority of people with older digital SLRs.

Thank you for this tutorial! I got it all hooked up in about 30 minutes. My question is, how do you print photos? How do you line it up in the tray? And does the print go, face side up or down?

The printer doesn't recognize starter cartridges. Tried different suggestions online. Still, doesn't work. Canon support online no help. I checked cartridges inserted correctly and 30 second hold on power per suggestions. Canon support no help. Any ideas?

Can I use it if I don't have a computer? Only for use with the phone

I'm so aggravated with this printer. I bought it last November and got it all set up no problem could print from an cell phone any of our laptops even tablets all the PCs and didn't have any issues at all, was very easy to set up. But I recently changed my ISP and switched all the wifi info and tried re setting the printer wifi but it won't do it it says it's all good when I click on the app on my phone and click print it says it's all good and connected but then my printer shows the error code 1651 which I looked up and I followed everything it says to do with that but it's still retarded. I even went ahead and found my ol printer cable ans connected that to my laptop to see if I could connect it least that way but nope. I tried the WPS button with my router modem and that didn't work either. And yes I even did the manual connection and it at first says it's good and connected but when I go to print it waits a bit then it gives me the 1650 code again. I've been fighting with this printer connection for the last 3 days and my work needs for this printer are over my head at this point like I NEED THIS PRINTER TO FREAKING CONNECT it won't do it. And when I try to change the password on the acaul printer on the screen there manually in an advanced area to change wifi info I go to click in password but my password has a hashing in it and it doesn't give me the special characters to select on putting my password in so I can't change it. And if I have to go change my password on my router modem that'll disconnect ALL my like over a a dozen IoT all our smart lights plugs alexa devices, everyone's tablets and phones and all of our cameras and TVs and recievers, all will have to be reset...Quite a pain in the a#* and I'm honestly thinking it's the only option I have left

I can't get the printer to connect to my computer. I keep getting an error message telling me connection failed. Tried it a dozen times, not luck.

However, i had no problems connecting it to my phone, Z Fold 6.

My paper will not go in ugh. I hate this printer already
