6/24/18:

On June 24th, we hit it just right... coming back north from the Tampa area we arrived at Callahan for a quick stop to see what was what, and the timing was perfect... In the 45 minutes we were there 6 trains came by. First was Amtrak P098 flying north with an awesome hornshow... Next, as soon was P098 crossed over, was Q037 rolling south towards Jacksonville with two GEs. As his tail end cleared A794 rounded the curve heading northbound with a solo SD40-3 in Notch 8. Amazing sound! Then, following A794, Q442 and Q608 came off the Callahan Sub from Baldwin, clearing Callahan within 10 minutes of one another. Finally, Q609 arrived and stopped at Callahan. I was gonna wait for it to move, but after no movement in 15 minutes and a long drive ahead I settled for an idling zoom shot... Overall this was some of the best quick action railfanning I have seen...
