Anakin Vs Obi Wan during Episode 3 and any of his duels with Maul were awesome. Also really liked Baylan and Ahsoka's fights and her "lesson" with Anakin in the world between worlds. Also the fights between Sol , Jeckie and Qimir in the acolyte

Quite happy to see Qimir on this list. That fight was extremely well choreographed, exceptionally well shot with the camera angles, the difference between the high republic era jedi vs a darkside force user and OF COURSE the jawdropping use of the cortosis!
I will happily dump all over the 'Acolyte' show for its many failings in the writing department (oh god, the end is just so unreasonably stupid!), but episode 5 is just chef's kiss. In fact I've gone and rewatched just that episode because it's so damn good. It's really a shame that gem is hidden in such a poor show but it's honstly so good I'd recommend watching up to episode 5 just to see the fight and then quit on the high note.

Its ironic that both Grievous and Kenobi, both proficient lightsaber duelists, end up having a no holding back fist fight as their final battle lol

A slight correction, Ahsoka uses primarily form 5, Shien, not Ataru, Shien is the only style that uses the reverse grip that Ahsoka is famous of.

For Anakin... sometimes you need to be direct. But yeah, he should have been more well rounded. But is that the fault of the student or the master? The student here is a hard headed moron, but also an emotionally damaged child who was a SLAVE. The master should have taken that into account... but did he know how?

One interesting thing i noted in the oba diah fight is that Dooku is mostly attacking Anakin and ignoring Obi-Wan making them play too their disadvantages, by making Obi-Wan go on the offensive and Anakin on the defensive

Alan, what i noticed about Anakin and Asoka at the end of the clone wars starting with the last fight with Dooku., instead of long drawn out fighting they both started looking for an opportunity to get inside their opponent, get a hold of their weapon then disarm, dismember or slice open. Asoka used this technique against 3 inquisitors, Morgan Elsbeth x2, Maul, and Anakin, in the world between worlds.

Please tell me you noticed this as well. It's obvious Anakin taught her this technique

I wonder if part of Dooku's choice of Obi wan was to stick it to Anakin. It's like Dooku saying "You're not good enough, Obi wan is better than you."

I think a number of people wish Ahsoka would be a bad girl ever since Rosario Dawson embodied her.

I feel like we should have ashoka vs. the inquisitors as an honorable mention. Just to see them get there ass handed.

This video was great. I hope we get another High Republic era show. Perhaps a decade time jump with a tangential storyline? The Acolyte was sloppy storytelling mixed with some pretty good world building.
Seeing the Jedi's relationship with the Republic changing after this encounter with this Sith apprentice and the Force Witch coven.

According to the Plagueis novel, Maul was gifted to Palpatine by a Nightsister of Dathomir to try and save him from Talzin. According to Darth Sidious in the novel, this nightsister mentioned how she had two offspring and had to give one to the mother and is trying to give Maul to Sidious.

P.S. I know there are videos from other creators. Gen Tech is fun to watch, and I like how Allen puts it. It also makes me think and connect literature and film as a representation of our history.

For me the greatest duel in Star Wars was Luke’s duel in empire. He gets a few licks in but most of the battle is Vader beating him into a corner. It also fits narratively cause Luke is descending much like he’s falling deeper into despair and being tempted by vader.

Theory: the reason Kit Fisto lasted way longer than Sasee Tin or Agen Kolar in the Palpatine duel was because Palpatine’s lunge/jump/roll mimicked a stroke/swimming in underwater combat, which he was better in.

The "duel" between Vader and Reva may not have been epic, but it was underrated. From the moment he just casually dismantles her lightsaber, drops half at her feet and tells her to attack him, to not even raising a blade in defense, he was in complete control of the duel from the beginning.
