I mean it's fantastic and all... but 10-11 grand? ludicrous

the people that can afford this are the people who have all the cool games that have been opened once and then never played.

Ok, I get this is possibly the pinnacle of board game tables, but good lord, 10k$ minimum? For that kind of money I'd rather start a 3 year project and try and fail to replicate that table, because besides the rising and lowering the table the rest ain't exactly rocket science.

Do you guys make the lift mechanisms or buy them from somewhere? Its a great idea for a low profile mechanism.

Hey is there any chance I can just physically drive to your shop in Mass.? Been waiting on my order from 2020 and even though I'm an international customer, I'm only a 6 hour drive away.

Paid $2 grand for it, it's been 2 years and there's no table currently in my possession.

What is used for the finish? I have seen one up close and they are impressive.

Are the top boards fixed to the table at all? Or do you rely solely on the weight of the boards to stop any movement? Say if you are dining and someone leans against it, do they not slide around since they are just resting on top?

I don't think anyone is buying these. It starts at like $8500 and goes up to over $30,000 dollars!. It's $1000 just to put your place in the queue. CHAIRS start at 850!!

watching this video again after 2 years, what i really miss with wyrmwoods tables compared to other products right now is e.g: integrated token holders on the outer top parts, even maybe cup holders there or wireless charging capabilities like the bristol from geeknson. if you put toppers on it nobody sees those anyway and it would be a nice addition instead of buying extra wood parts that hang out or inwards, but still love how more well built wyrmwoods tables look compared to its competitors. hope they gonna do distribution in europe at some time or do another kickstarter with the prophecy table or modular table soon :3

If I'm paying $1000 for all that it better have a seamless microfiber surface on it.

This is a piece of fine furniture made from solid hardwood(and lots of it), has a custom mechanical lift, some pretty hard to find features as well as a lot of design. Oh, It's also made in the US. Try to find a quality solid walnut dining table for under $3,000, you will get what you pay for. And to those saying they would DIY one, give it a shot! It can be done and it's a very rewarding endeavor but it's also very expensive, time consuming and labor intensive.

Bottom line is this, some people think a fancy sport car with all the bells and whistles is a waste of money. Some people see the value in the high performance and are willing to pay for it. This isn't a table made for everyone and you should be OK with that. They aren't ripping anyone off, it's fairly priced, and they offer tables that meet all your gaming needs while sporting a much lower price tag.

What is the name of the type hinge mechanism used in the lift? I don't think it is a cantilever hinge or some sort of glide. Asking so I can find something comparable for a drawer in a shop tool chest

Honestly, if you really want a table like this, pick up some tools and build it yourself. Looking at the overall design... Other than the cranking mechanism, which would take a bit of thought and some prototyping to get it running smooth and at the correct ratio, the table and chair designs are shit simple. I have a friend who actually works in sales of luxury furniture (big name brands, typically only millionaire clients), and the furniture he sells is on par in terms of pricing... This is extremely niche and not likely to appeal to many people. Like I said, pick up some tools and build this yourself if you really want something similar. I bet there are similar plans for a platform crank mechanism out there which you could reapply to this concept.

Go find a furniture maker locally...guarantee you'll find one within 100 miles. over 8-10K for bells and whistles? Gimme a break!!!

If you had this level of quality and features in a hexagonal table with legs at each of the 6 corners I’d be in. My room is square and a rectangular 6 person table is a no go.

Even though it's an amazing piece of furniture, the price just makes it unreachable now. Checking out the website, getting the table with some nice accessories, not all, puts it close to 10k. Oof..
