I've done the tbow rebuild twice and didn't regret it either time. This was before the bowfa came out though. I had a lot of fun in chambers though. I think it really depends on what content you want to do personally. If you wanna send a bunch of tob then get yourself a scythe big dawg. If you wanna send TOA get that shadow rebuild going. If you prefer chambers get yourself a tbow or a shadow. The differences aren't as bad as they used to be like before the scythe changes and TOA coming out.
I think TOB is the best raid and my favorite so if I could do it again I would probably do a scythe rebuild personally. Scythe is also good at vard too I don't think you mentioned that in the video either.

As a owner of all 3 buy shadow until you can get Tbow then scythe. Learn how to raid and do end game content and GP comes alot easier.

I would never max mellee first.. you will be vardorvis/du km ke stuck for a loooong time ... id rather max magic or range first they are interchangable for a lot of content, in fact i did buy max magic first next is going to be range, because scythe is not worth 1.7b, lmao not even close

We already have a tbow. I believe the next one I'd get is the shadow. Originally, I wanted the scythe... but after watching this video, the shadow might be a better option. I'd like to solo Godwars and also get better at the whisperer. Though a scythe would be pretty awesome. Rsn: mizzpguin

Make sure your off-styles are still solid. Raids are more than just one combat style, and you can get some extremely good weapons for super cheap (fang, blowpipe, swamp trident).

You should always strive for Bowfa, shadow, fang.
Max mage, Bowfa + crystal, Fang (scrub melee gear). Is about 1.7b. This is the same cost of a tbow and scythe alone. If you buy scythe (left with trident, and drag crossbow). If you buy tbow (left trident). Max mage, bowfa, fang, sets up up great almost everywhere, especially raids.

Just get a halberd for tob. If doing STRICTLY tob for cash then fuck it buy the scythe first but against strictly limited to specific areas is going scythe and tbow.

I just went through this a week ago. Settled on shadow + ancestral with bowls and crystal armour + Justiciar with soul reaper axe/void waker

This might be a dumb video suggestion, but I've taken a long break after finally earning my infernal cape, to the point where I feel lost as to where to start off again/would probably die to vardorvis lol what is the best way to 'get back' into the game after a long break? I never know where to start, last I was trying to get quiver but I would get absolutely rekt now

I think Shadow is overall highest bang for you buck, for the price of tbow you can buy full bis mage, a good/great melee setup, a decent range setup, and have some leftover.

That being said, I went twisted bow first, no charges, cheap ammo, cheap setup.

I currently run Shadow and Tbow only around 400m away from Scythe. I can’t wait to finish the final mega rebuild.

While your suggestions of melee minimum gear before mega are great, range and mage look sketchy here. If you’re going to have a zenyte you better get an anguish not torm. Brimstone ring is actual insanity, lb for blowpipe specs will be better every day of the week. Blessed d’hide is a bit of a scam - black top and bottom is enough if that’s the difference between getting a mega or not. Ahrims is certainly not needed if you’re doing scy/tbow build since you can wear mystics on the 2 occasions you’ll actually need to mage before you get richer again.

Bloodbark over Ahrims. Ahrims is a waste of money.

TLDR:

If you're decent: T bow
If you're cheeks: Shadow

Honestly I came to watch this just to see if content recommendations matched my own. I personally ended up doing a shadow rebuild last month and feel the shadow easily unlocks the most content at max efficiency. There are a few places that I would love to have scythe or tbow but shadow easily has the longest list of places it specifically is good for. Also you mentioning shadow only zulrah being painful is funny, I get very consistent gm times shadow only, it's honestly the most chill way to kill zulrah imo. Reason being is that zulrah is weak to mage in two of its forms and is only weak to range in tanz phase, as well 3/4 of its rotations start with forms its weak to mage with so you blow the boss up even faster.

Shadow is also super chill for mole, it gets the same kills per hour as tbow and is more chill because splashes don't make it dig, thus there is a lot less running around.

As for raids toa is the most beginner friendly so shadow is great for that, it trivializes zebak and wardens, what normally was really sweaty with the zcb is over in less than half the time with shadow.

I also opted for a weird route for my rebuild. I held onto an ely when I started the rebuild due to sentimental reasons but would end up later selling it to buy full torva and rancour. Reason being that torva rancour is arguably used in more places than scythe due to the bosses that don't have large hitboxes. Having torva has made a lot of bosses way faster to grind due to taking less damage and kill times being faster, it also has unlocked vorkath money making that is on par with shadow zulrah, thus giving me more options to cycle between when something gets boring. As well it was motivated by a personal reasoning, I didn't want to have to rebuild my melee ever again, I already have done it 3 times lol.

So that is where my account currently stands, shadow with all maxed mage gear, torva with all maxed melee gear except scythe. The next goal will be full masori and range jewelry so that my range swaps in tombs feel better (prioritizing vambraces and anguish so that my swaps are balanced earlier on).

As someone that sat with a 3b bank for like a year (item prices fluctuating actually made it feel like a treadmill) I highly reccomend a rebuild. It limits your options somewhat but makes the options you do have twice as good in most regards, thus it induces a compounding snowball effect. It also majorly spices up the game. When I bought shadow I legit was just cheesing for a solid week afterwards, testing it absolutely everywhere and not wanting to take it off for anything. I did the same with the torva purchase. Earning that stuff through your own grinding makes the culmination all the better, you finally feel like that dude you have seen running around that you kept saying "one day that will be me", finally you are "that guy". There is an aura around maxed gear sets in this game, you want to do content just to try it out and you feel stronger even if its only a placebo sometimes. Like I started taking my shadow to nex and huey and getting kill credit perfectly fine, you just start wrenching it into places it ought to not belong lol. Make that leap and you will be amazed where it will take you.

Shadows definitely best to get first alongside bowfa, itll coat the same to get both for the price of only one of the other megas, but in my personal opinion scythe is best due to me being a tobber. Lately it feels like im just trying to find used for the bow that the shadow cant also do similarly
