I like the Nozferatu cenes in the original, but the suporting roles don't hold up. To me Herzogs version is the best vampire movie ever.

Superb film

One of my favorite versions of this that I own is a DVD recorded from a VHS (which a friend of mine owned) that had an intro from David Carradine and the soundtrack was replaced with music from Type O Negative. Not overly a faithful version, but as a fan of the film and Type O Negative it was a fun watch.

There's a version of Nosferatu with a soundtrack by metal band Type-O Negative and an intro by David Carradine. I used to own it on DVD.

I watch a lot of horror movies with my mom, thanks to Svengoolie on MeTV, and the only one we've ever watched that was too scary for her was Nosferatu. That should be a testament to how much it holds up as a horror movie. 😉

Wonder if James is going to like the remake when it comes out next year. Bill Skarsgaard is playing Orlok and all I can say is that it seems like perfect casting so far.
