Great video. iTunes is the worst program the humanity has ever created. Bloated piece of shit with tons of useless features that nobody uses and absence of features that everyone needs like selecting a backup directory FROM A GODDAMM APP and not from windows powershell terminal. The fact that I have to use this garbage software for making full backups is ridiculous.

what if we i install a new windows on my c drive? i mean we usually format the c drive for windows installation. Will it delete my back up from the other linked drive?

Hi Vikas, using your instructions (which are super-clear btw), I created a link to my backup folder within Mobile Sync. I did this last year. Now, I forgot which folder did I create a link to. Can you please let me know how to find out the linked folder? I should have made a note of this last year. Thanks for your help

Thank you!!!!!! I’m getting a new iPhone today, but I have voicemails from both my parents that I’ve saved to voice memos so I can save them since they’ve both passed away in the last three years. I bought a new computer and external hard drive so I can make sure they are saved since I’ll never get to hear their voices again without those memos. I didn’t even think about the storage on the computer since I was planning on saving everything to the external drive, but of course that wasn’t easy to change where my iPhone would store my backup. You just saved me from just giving up and never updating my iPhone again. I can’t tell you how much your video has helped me. If I lost these memos it would crush me. Thank you.
