With a heavy heart, I share the painful truth about the D-Chowk Massacre of 2024. Pakistan is far from a democracy. Under the oppressive rule of General Asim Munir, a cowardly dictator, and his illegitimate government, law enforcement and security forces unleashed brutal violence on innocent people at D-Chowk on November 26, 2024. These peaceful protesters were simply demanding their basic rights—standing up against the unjust detention of beloved leader Imran Khan, the soaring cost of living, and the arbitrary arrests of ordinary citizens. General Munir is directly responsible for the bloodshed at D-Chowk, where innocent children, young people, mothers, fathers, and even infants—who were peacefully calling for justice—were murdered in cold blood.
Where is the international human rights community in all of this? How can they ignore the corruption of a general who manipulated election results, brought corrupt leaders to power, and now orders the slaughter of unarmed citizens simply because they dare to demand justice?
