What a cruel & spiteful thing to do to someone. I know it’s happening all around the world & I know it’s easy to say how naive some people are but sadly there are many reasons why some people are naive, too trusting , easily taken for a ride……..but what’s really really sad is when people make a permanent decision based on temporary emotions/ situation.

I live in australia and just asked a friend who had been incarcerated for ten yrs and he had never heard that this could be done with foregoing visits for less time. Visits are a reward as such and usually if the inmate mucks up they may be told no visits for set amount of time etc. This case was in sydney and we live in ld but the prison system does not differ that much. When a person is convicted the sentence is set or a parole date is set that the person can begin to apply for parole. Again thankyou Ty for such a well done case covered with as always kindness and dignity to the victim. You have a true gift and so hope you continue to help people like you do

I was too intrigued by the story to hear the music, didnt bother me a bit. If camala was a friend at all, she'd have helped Renee get back on her feet after her first break up.

While this is tragic and Kamala should have had some consequences to face, Renee would have probably done something like this down the road in a future relationship, she clearly had huge emotional issues when it came to men regarding acceptance and rejection.

I find it so hard to feel bad for women like Renee! The girl was extremely unstable 🙄 making bad decisions and expecting “happy endings”

The comments saying Renee should have been able to "handle the breakup" and not end her life are disgusting. She was clearly struggling mentally. Kamala knew that. Kamala should have been at the very least been sued for wrongful death.

Renae's family does have an option or at least would in the US. Not sure what wrongful death lawsuits look like in Australia, but sue the catfishing bitch. I'm sure a jury of her peers would find her liable for Renee's death.

Unfortunately, Im not sure what can be done in cases like this, but a good start- Don't fall for anyone on line.
Im a bit dumbfounded to be honest about how you can fall for someone you don't even know to the point of thinking "they" are worth your life.
I just don't get that.
I don't even get it when it a real relationship, so this on line stuff makes 0 sense to me.
Either way, people who fo this should be charged with something.
Fraud along with other things.

I was in a similar friendship. She was completely obsessed and controlling. After years I finally got out. I was so scared, because i saw how violent and crazy my friend was to others. I still have horrible ptsd and trust issues. 😢

So Renae was so distraught that Brayden wasn't being released in August that she tried to kill herself in September of that same year but then she started seeing Ian sometime after September and by January of the next year they were already engaged? This girl sounds desperate for someone to love. So two people with mental issues collided and now one is dead. Just tragic
