Looks like a great project. Rare and in good shape. Needs to be back on the road. Look forward to seeing more on this one. Be safe and stay well.
ОтветитьI like how el Caminos look
ОтветитьJust subscribed all the way from 🇬🇧
ОтветитьRyan over on the channel ( Iowa Classic cars) might be able to help you with parts that you need. He is big on the 59 Chevys.
ОтветитьYou know whales and dolphins have horizontal fins just like a 59 Chevy.
ОтветитьLol , this is firth class building , i work in a tent shed , in Canada lol
ОтветитьYou go guy
ОтветитьNice find ! Sell it to me
ОтветитьLove the '59/'60 Elcos. What a nice touch are the one piece bumpers. It's gonna be nice

Ответитьgood luck with it I'll keep looking for it .
Ответитьreally great year for the el camino, and for gm in general.good luck on your project. rust is a bummer but i know with your skills it will happen
ОтветитьJust love the 59 Chevy's. My dad bought a new 59 Belair, and drove it till 1965. In 64 I bought a 1959 Impala sport coup, Grecian Gray with beautiful red and gray interior. It had been ordered with the 348 engine and Bog Warner 4-speed. The 348 was solid lifter, tri-power that was rated 335 horse power. What an absolute sleeper of such a beautiful car, I just loved that car, as it was very fast for the day, finally selling it in 1968. Looking back today, selling that 59 Impala was just about the stupidest thing I ever did. So many regrets in life, but that one was at the top of my list, if only?
ОтветитьNeeds a lift and some rock crawler tires
Ответитьyour probably going to need a rear-end for it sounds like it's full of 💧 water rusted solid. You should have taken it apart right away and cleaned it up because of flooding
ОтветитьI remtbis commercial from when I was a 4 year old. Best wishes
ОтветитьCONGRADULATIONS ON YOUR NEW BUILD!!!! EL CAMINOS ARE ALWAYS HOT!!! GREAT VIDEO AND THANKS FOR SHARING!!!!
ОтветитьThe chevrolet script on the hood tells me it was originally a 235 6cylinder 3 speed great video
ОтветитьWater in the diff, you said it was flooded twice, probably has a really bad rust spot making it stick.
ОтветитьVery cool! Have a 59 in the family stash been in the shop lot for years.
ОтветитьHi. How are You?
ОтветитьI don't have any leads on '59 parts, but I do know a guy who can decode the VIN & tag for you. He'll tell you a lot of the beginning story of the car. The guy goes by the name of "Google Man" and frequently gives VIN info on a car channel I frequent. It's not much, but the "Google Man" gives honest work!
ОтветитьSince you really ain't got enough time to do all them projects, you should just sell the Camino to me. I would like to build it with my grandson. Looks like you need the room
ОтветитьWOW flippen cool love the El Camino cant wait to see it on the road greetings from South Africa
ОтветитьPretty cool how far you’ve come, been here since the first bus video !
ОтветитьThe hood shows it was at one time a 6cyn!
ОтветитьMy dream car. I just subscribed so I can see were you go with this project. I look forward to seeing videos on this project
ОтветитьIt was flooded do its s safe bet its rusted tight
ОтветитьIts on the Impala platform so it may use hinges from the mote popular model
ОтветитьExcited for your 59 build too
ОтветитьIt will never get finished.
Ответить‘59 Chevys are some of my favorite cars. Love the old commercial you posted! These cars had six in line 235 and 265, and 283 and 348 V8’s.
ОтветитьI wonder if he knows they make garage doors?
ОтветитьI have the manual flywheel and clutch you need to convert to your 3 speed. Like new condition.
ОтветитьI'd give my left nut to be able to restomod a 59' El Camino.
ОтветитьCadê pokinha 👊
ОтветитьVery nice project!
The 59 El Camino is one of my favourites.
Plus this one is not TOO rough, its doable, if u don't want to make it a councours winner😅
i think i remember in 1959 they hadnt have a 350cui, but a 283cui, so youre right, this engine is not the original 59, besides the Flexplate incident.
This thing would appear great with a Tonneau cover, when finished.
Also saves the bed area.
Plus the Tube-grill is preferable over the original imho.
Most important tip don't ls swap it yeah I'm a Mopar guy but my grandpa had a 59 El Camino so it's always been my favorite car and the one that made him want one was 409 swap with a 4 speed so thats the way I'd go.
ОтветитьJust last week found a 1959 El Camino being restored in Bangkok. He put 327 in it and rumbles pretty good. Don't know where he's getting his parts but at least the windshield he's having one made here. I made a little video of it on my channel.
ОтветитьA friend has an Elky a wagon and a Impala 348 four speed car now a 427 ca.
ОтветитьGetting caught up on your El Camino vids. Love the commercial to start this one. You should never leave an engine (motors are electric) hanging from engine stand bolts ! It'll distort the bolt hole threads which may be why you can't rotate it. Those hubcaps are called " Baby Moons" . Peace Buddy ✌️😎👍
ОтветитьI have a 1987 El Camino and it still says AREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEBA🌵
ОтветитьI’ve watched the elcamino series you have a few times. Go the distance, that old girl needs help. Saw the magic you did with the bus, el-Camino is in good hands
ОтветитьHey man glad I found your channel. I saw your full length bus video and came to check out what else you were into. I like how your grassroots, low buck, working with what you've got. Stay humble and keep it real!
