I really like the comment about how important it is when you do a habit, I’ve been working on my bedtime habit of brushing and flossing (before just brushing, sometimes) and washing my face, taking meds etc. It feels like it takes forever and doing this after watching tv is a huge hurdle. Whereas if I were to incorporate these things before sitting on the couch for an hour I’d not only be able to accomplish this easier but also not eat as much junk before bed. ❤❤

I decided to try ashwaganda around a month ago to help myself focus before my exams session - 500mg daily - really helped to calm the constant chaos in my mind which then allowed me to focus like never before💞 and now I passed all my exams well, I'm so thankful for past me's decision🙏

Best habit for me hands down.

Get up at 5 every morning and hit the gym and counting calories

This will drastically change your life for the better in all aspects.

It's simple but it's hard.

Why task-bracketing is related to dividing a day into specific phases? isn't the phase too broad a time window for a task-bracketing(which dorsalateralstriatum lights up at the start/end of a habit)?

Great stuff. I have the nasty habit of eating in the middle of the night (nocturnal eating disorder, I think it is termed). I've been doing this for 12 years now, and I'm still struggling with it. I'd like to get rid it because I know it's not healthy, it messes up my sleep and metabolism. It's simply not a good thing to do. I've tried all sorts of things, like having only a piece of fruit or a healthy snack and some water, I've tried to simply abstain from eating anything at all after my last meal before going to bed, having a glass of milk or water instead of food, etc. I can manage it for a few days, but I just can't keep it up because because I get HUNGRY... it's not just a craving I feel, my stomach literally gurgles. I can go many days without succumbing to late night eating but it takes only one slip to relapse into the habit. It's such a hard habit for me to break because it's at the time in which I'm tired (little will power). Any suggestions, taking into account the information from this episode?
