I enjoy the talk, but the cosmologist should’ve talked less and given S Guru more time to talk.

Its a good talk. Seems they have differing specialization of their mind, that some of what the other says doesnt completely sink in. Probably have to take few concepts at a time, more time, questions and deeper patient straightforward explanation.

No life, no time, no movement, no consciousness , it's all hanging together

This is an interesting theory if the universe collapses that means it is alive and it will be reborn, cycle of life

At the end of the talk Carr desperately tries to accommodate to the so called "spiritual" things Sadguru talks about and he is trying to come closer to "subjective" experiences that he has even never tried to experience! So he is helpless with these explanations from Sadguru. The other one wants to erase the second word "spirituality" with science the title to become science& science...
Forget that sad-Guru! The natural science never wanted to become spiritual! It's the galiieic exclusion meaning science is a system of knowledge, yes, but with exclusion of "god" or whatever "metaphysical" is meant to be! It does not match, regardless what clothes you wear Dear Bernard, the Indians will not accept you and vice- versa! We first have to find a new "natural-"science, not excluding GOD..that means everything and the whole together! No Dialectical division needed nor wanted, otherwise this is fruitless!

😂 Cosmologist, alone the term is a joke. They pretend to be natural-scientists, but normally exclude everything which had to do with "natural-philosophy" (like Newton still was one!- He still assumed meta-physical reasons for the forces , materia, enertia etc. unlike then modern materialists as natural-scientists are today) Now they want to talk with a Guru who is merely interested in the esoteric grounds of reality. Natural-scientists are lousy philosophers so it is a waste of time to listen to Carr! He still has to learn a lot!

there was something a line that sadhguru wanted to tell bernard but unfortunately bernard did not seem interested in it I want to know what that line was

If only all scientists are like Dr Carr, we would have a better world. Science and Spirituality should not be viewed as contradicting each other like what most people think they were. If only we will open our mind to it, we can actually benefit a lot if can embrace them both.

These giants of men one on science the other spiritual didn't collide in galactic epic. It fuse like an atom with one molecule absorbed another to form one peculiar element.

Mismatch of level and paradigm.

Fascinating how Dr. Carr explains it..I somehow resonate with his explanation more.."if we believe that the Universe come from zero point..the mind prior to Matter"... ahh.. could it be that Cosmology is the merging point of spirituality and science? I definitely believe so.

I am mind blown. The Universe is one of my favorite topic and the way Sadhguru explain.. from infinite to emptiness.. is quite controversial but of course.. anything possible.. for what I understand.. we evolve thru spiral movement.. created from nothingness of the Source.. at least from Source's self expression, it created matter.

I think shadguru just hypnotized the science guy at the opening in order to control his mind and favored his Hinduism wisdom hahaha but both men have next levels of intellectual minds

Fascinating conversation, I loved this, the man of science versus the man of spirituality.

Who concluded the patient was seeing the rising and setting of the sun as flashing light? Did someone logically conclude the sun was the only possible physical object that could have been the source of light in the patient's vision?

As scientists, we break our own rules of inference by depending on positivist means of knowledge production. When will we move to the next level and come to accept that it is more than possible that we have missed much that is relegated to the metaphysical simply because we have locked ourselves in a box defined empiricism. We need new ideas of knowing, measuring, and observing.

I think we have been shown enough by Easterners that it is becoming embarrassing that the more we discover physically, the more we gain knowledge they already have. You found it the hard way and they received it for free. Doesn't that alone create dozens of hypotheses?

All physicist will eventually become mystics the deeper they go.

At the moment their intellect limits their perspective unless they have an inner experience.

And spirituality is all about evolving your perspective … this is why Sadguru spent a lot of time revealing another perspective… it’s much appreciated.
