Focus on raising number of women in blue economy

Men continue to dominate the job market in the blue economy sector accounting for almost 60 per cent of all jobs generated by the industry. Stakeholders are calling for a targeted approach to help raise the number of women in the sector. Kilifi County Chief Officer for Gender, Agneta Karembo says the county is working with various women's organizations to help more women benefit from the industry.
