All BBC shows should be considered to be in the public domain. Their existence has been paid for already so to sponge as much out of them would not be in the public interest. Whats also worrying about subscription fees is the price of BBC DVD's. I remember Doctor who box sets  being extortionate in comparison to non BBC DVDs. I reckon they will do the same with the fee.

Whatever happens to BBC, it will always remain an important part of MI6 & GCHQ. UK needs BBC for its strategic national interest. BBC can be taken off the air, but they'll never pull the plug on it.
