Fantastic video I just subscribed. I just started DJing a little less than a year ago. I've been asked to DJ for years because people like my taste of music and I'm usually the life of the party. I'm a pretty good MC as I was an artist and performer before. DJing is definitely something I'm picking up now and there's so much to learn but it's definitely something I love doing.

I’d add that sometimes you can’t attribute a specific track to a certain category, let’s say a track can be on a cross roads between Afro house, Indie dance and organic house..

Bass House / Tech House (tie), Deep House (without vocals), Progressive House - in that order are my favorite. I like most music without vocals when mixing. Sounds better

I would love to feel the difference between melodic techno, melodic house, organic house, organic house downtempo, progressive house, deep trance, Trance, afro house, afro tech ..... some tracks' sub genre can be placed on a spectrum of genres while others can't.

- For instance, one track can fit into melodic house, organic house / downtempo and progressive house .
- others can fit into the melodic techno subgenre just as easily as techno peak time drive
- same with progressive house - deep Trance - Trance
- as well as melodic house - Trance.... especially Trance track with bpms ranging from 120 to 124

Deep house, lofi house, and minimal house I just classify as deep house. But I can't tell the difference between what is labeled as house remixes and tech house. It's all just basically the same to me.

House is all the music that gets in my way and wastes my time when Im searching for good music in the umbrella category of “Electronica”. House, EDM, Happy Hardcore, etc etc are just skip buttons for me.

You've got poppy house repping classic house, deep house repping afro house, disco house repping jacking house, classic house repping deep house, that's not tech-house, its some modern cheesefest, again quite commercial house repping soulful house, no acid house, no jacking house, all just weird AF

I always felt the variations on the house music landscape are better described as moods rather than genres. There are no hard and fast boundaries that would prohibit or limit mixing opportunities, like you might have between hip hop and drum and bass for instance, or hard techno and R&B. Many producers will routinely hop between house moods as their production desires evolve.

Just my humble opinion.
