Really like that winged concept
ОтветитьIt kinda looks badass
ОтветитьTalk about nightmare fuel.
Ответитьwith the creature sucking kay's black blood, the white skin and the wings, it would feel very vampire-esk
ОтветитьAll of these look better than what we got tbh.
ОтветитьSorta gives me a "fallen angel" esc look. Wouldn't mind seeing this design for a future project
Ответитьhow come i see waaaaaaaaaay better alien related concept art on social media, than in the actual movie...PS: horrible concept... wings ???? wat ?
ОтветитьThe offspring sucked. Reminded me of the newborn from alien resurrection
ОтветитьI like this design but it's too much I prefer the one we got
ОтветитьBased on the offspring sucking it’s mother’s blood, I think it would also fitting for the offspring having wings (imo)
ОтветитьSeeing the concept designs and the way they went for the final outcome of the newborn for Alien Romulus, it seems that it was too extravagant and a bit on the complicated side. I'm guessing they just wanted to make something functional. Having all these extra appendages and all these extra details, a practical effect wouldn't look that convincing. And going with the streamlined engineer body seems like the best outcome. I mean, if it had been in the 1980s or the 90s, maybe they would have gone with this route. A lot of time constraints and budgets like these, they tend to change the outcome.
ОтветитьI agree, I think the on-screen offspring worked way better for the movie they created. I’d love to see that concept used in the future on something else but I’m very happy that the changed it for the actual movie as it’s a lot more unsettling.
ОтветитьLooks so much like Elden from the comics. Which is something I like about the new movie. Feels more like a Dark Horse alien comic. I grew up on those books.
ОтветитьThis looks like a final fantasy boss not a xeno
ОтветитьThe wings don't make sense, but what they ended up using is still nightmare fuel.
ОтветитьCell DBZ tail
ОтветитьLooks like something that could live in the Pan's labyrinth universe
ОтветитьNah, a xenomorph with wings?! Nope! That’s it. It’s over. Anyone who comes across that thing is automatically dead. I’m sorry
ОтветитьThe Dragon-like white skinned Offspring concept arts seem to be based on the Satan paintings by William Blake, particularly The Great Red Dragon paintings.
ОтветитьIt’s nice but the one in the movie was perfect. This should be in another stage mortified into it.
ОтветитьShouldn't have been in the film. It was a terrible movie to begin with. The action and tense moments were ok, but once that final alien hybrid birth happened, I nearly passed out from boredom. Didn't like it in resurrection and hated it here. Alien and Aliens are all we need. And Alien 3 on occasion lol
ОтветитьThe winged version is awesome, but seems a bit too...magical.
ОтветитьI think these concepts are a bit much and the pure and direct Human mutated into a Xeno we got was better and more unsettling. It basically was like an emaciated human with gigantism, that feels wrong in a familiar way not to mention its mentality has clearly become something more psychotic and cruel, like a child with the power to dominate others.
Its freaky and is supposed to be because this creature is like a perversion of humanity the scientists played god with.
Giving it wings or a dragonlike look doesn't communicate anything as horrifying.
This doesn't make sense
ОтветитьI love seeing all this cool art, but uh...
Modified black goo + human = ...d-dragon? I guess... ?
Of all the art released you've shown off so far, the only thing I really think could have worked better than what ended up in the finished film are the chestburster designs with the coiled up limbs. That was a really visually interesting and unsettling idea and I'm a little bummed it played it so conservative. But I think of everything else, no matter how wonderful all this art is, I just keep coming back to how the finished film really is finished, it really seems like it's the best version of that film. And that makes me so happy, and it's such a nice change of pace from the last two.
Here's what's so cool aboot this dude though: remember back in the press circuit of Prometheus where Mr. Alcoholic Creationist himself mentioned something aboot the LV-223 Engineers being like "dark angels?" I think the idea of a messed up cousin of the Engineers created by mistake from a modified version of black goo having an imago form that looks like Blake's Red Dragon is... I mean come on, it writes itself. Consider what it would mean if that had happened in the film for a minute, and what the existence of this design even being considered might imply:
So the story Rook gives us is that they want to modify the black goo to transform humans physiologically to withstand the harsh environments of space. The end result of that has the same face as the LV-223 Engineers, which tells us that Engineers are just that, humans exposed to a modified form of black goo - although a very different one either developed by the space jockeys or from some other unknown source - and so there you have a realization with the audience that whatever force was meddling in human affairs thousands of years ago was also modifying us for that express purpose, for space. That's what the Engineers are, xeno-engineered space-humans. And we still don't know where they came from, we don't know where the xenomorphs are from, we don't know what the deal with the space jockies are, the source of these aliens and the reason Engineers exist is an open question. But then, humans get involved, and we try to do essentially the same thing... and the result is Xenomorph Satan.
What does that tell you aboot humans? What does that tell you aboot the true motives of Wey-Yu? What does that tell you aboot the source of the Engineers? What does that tell you aboot the xenomorphs? The answers to all of those questions suddenly become really, REALLY interesting.
Anwyas, it doesn't make sense as far as genetic information goes because no step on that ladder has wings. So, what I would do, to have that design make sense in the universe of the films, is to have an offspring reproduce. If they have an endoparasitic stage like most Aliens, then all you'd need to do is have this thing gestate inside a... winged... four limbed... okay it would have to be a dragon. Basically what I'm saying is it's time for another versus movie because I want Aliens vs. Dragons.
Imagine if it never died. Could have been its second phase in it’s evolution
Ответитьthe concept is much better
ОтветитьRather implemented that stuff from the art than what we got in the movie , it reminds me too much of resurrection , we werecall in awe when that Queen received a womb till that thing came out , I slapped my face soo hard , had the exact same feeling when the off spring went out , I probably would’have liked it more if it was killed off by the original Xenomorphs or Big chap himself , I expected Romelus to unificate Alien and Aliens , but sadly I should’ve know better when I knew Ridley was involved in the project and produced and James Cameron backed out at the last moment in his interview …
ОтветитьIt looks like ridiculous garbage, no wonder they tossed it. Wings......
ОтветитьWe need a Xeno design like that for the next movie
ОтветитьI think what people dont realize is that the version in the movie I think was all practical effects and just a giant guy in a costume. If they wanted to do wings and other things it probably wouldve been CGI which I think they were trying to avoid.
ОтветитьLet’s see newborn fight offspring
ОтветитьReminds of the Blue Eyes White Dragon from Yu-Gi-Oh
Ответитьconcept designers need to be fired, i hate when people just come along with the worst ideas. and ruin a whole franchise. they went from looking like an alien to looking like a nun scary humanoid. at least the newborn in alien resurrection look cool and like a alien.
Ответитьtoo many notes
ОтветитьThis looks incredible but the one in the film seemed more appropriate.
I like the idea that this is what it would grow into given more time.
The latest version was a more cheap compared to the photo shown in this video, the concept is so cool
ОтветитьThe concepts where better I think
ОтветитьWow that looks AMAZING
ОтветитьThe first one is BEAUTIFUL!!
ОтветитьThank God they took the wings out cause they make 0 sense, the host wasnt a bird
ОтветитьReminds of BLAME Manga.
ОтветитьReminds me of the splice creature from Splice.
Ответитьthe movie version worked best tbh
ОтветитьThe offspring should have based off the new-beast from the alien 3 William Gibson script
ОтветитьLooks like it was supposed to be an alien 'angel'
ОтветитьI hate the wings. It doesn't make sense to me as to why it would get those all of a sudden. Of course it'd be different if a winged creature got facehugged.
ОтветитьWithout wings I think these are quite good
ОтветитьThese concepts are awesome! I really like the scorpion one. The one where it’s deep in thought is cool too. I hope to see something similar to that in the next film. I just really want them to continue to give us new species or new forms of the xenomorph. Love your channel ❤❤❤
