I like how this scene was made as if Palpatine was talking to you the person watching not his almost as evil aid
ОтветитьImagine watching through, not knowing Palps was evil, seeing this. That would add so much tension to the rest of the show
ОтветитьPalpatine is great at taking setbacks in stride
Ответить90K like!!!
ОтветитьHonestly I genuinely loved this version of Palps, he just manages to pull off sweet old chancellor and manipulative liar so well
ОтветитьGuys I think Palpatine is evil
ОтветитьDefinitely not the best scene in Clone Wars.
ОтветитьGotta hand it to Padme, I never realized how powerful she really was politically, she almost ground his plan to a screeching halt. Even then, her actions during the Clone Wars basically got the ball rolling for characters like Organa and Mothma to help instigate the Rebellion.
ОтветитьPadme almost robbed us of rebelion
ОтветитьIt was one because of the inhibitor chips, if only Rex and Asoka went to yoda. Instead of the chancellor.
Ответить20 years have gone by
Ответитьwhich season is it from?
ОтветитьI like how even without knowing mas amada was on on Palpatine being a sith this still feels natural. Like he could actually say this as a chancellor who didn't get the bill he wanted passed, despite his power, and it still works.
ОтветитьThe Remarkable that The Sith in the Seat Of Republic The hole time 😊
Ответитьno
ОтветитьThat opening was straight out of House of Cards. (The US version came after, but the UK version predates The Clone Wars.)
ОтветитьBut the Sidious vs maul and savage scenes exist
ОтветитьThis doesn't looks like when Palpatine commands: "Executive Order 66."
ОтветитьThat’s it, I’m rewatching all 7 seasons. It’s been 4 years.
ОтветитьDude is a true democracy lover. Hope he wins Next Elections
ОтветитьWhich episode is that again?
ОтветитьIs a galactic senate, a single politician’s words not swaying the opinions of millions would be rather concerning, considering the Republic governs over trillions.
ОтветитьPalpatine does love democracy
ОтветитьI'll never forget the moment I first saw this scene when I was a kid. When Palpatine appears to look directly at the camera, as if talking to the audience directly, I was stunned!
It was the first time I realised that this show - and for that matter all good media - is a product of careful, intentional design. Other people made this! They put effort and care into this scene and countless others! That was a such a staggering realisation to reach at the time
Far from the best scene but sure it's good
ОтветитьYou people out there who want a dictatorship YOU WILL REGRET IT!
ОтветитьI remember this scene made me shivver at first i thought he broke the 4th wall revealing himself to be the emperor 😅. This is where Chancellor sort of officially came out to the audience as the sith lord in the clone wars
ОтветитьThis is why Palpatine tried to have Padme killed at the beginning of episode 2. She was one of the few senators that was major obstacle to his plan
ОтветитьThe whole context in under 1 min
ОтветитьThe best scene is where San Hill says, "Nobody cares what you think."
ОтветитьDidn't knew Palpatine was a jew.
ОтветитьWitch episode is this
ОтветитьThis guy looks and sounds just like that hologram visual of Darth sidious! Crazy coincidence!
ОтветитьIt’s incredible how even though Palpatine hates Padme and wants her out of the picture to get to Anakin, he still has a genuine grudging respect for her, enough to admit that she has temporarily set his plans back. It’s an interesting relationship between the two.
ОтветитьIts scary to realise, that all of today’s politicians or at least most. Work this way.
ОтветитьIronic without padme and anakins love to her Windu would kill him because his unique fighting Style agaist the dark Side
ОтветитьElon musk to donald trump
ОтветитьHow is this the best scene ever? It’s boring as 💩
ОтветитьAnother Trump presidency… here we go again
ОтветитьOkay
ОтветитьStill one of the greatest scenes here in 2025
ОтветитьWhat episode is this?
ОтветитьWhich episode is this? Somebody please tell me!
ОтветитьI like to think Padme unintentionally inspired Palpatine's speech when he reorganised the Republic into the Empire. Maybe he had some bigger, longer scheme for how he'd convince everyone to go along with the change, but then he learned that "The words of a single senator can sway the thoughts of millions."
Ответить"We must adhere to the principles of democracy. We must let the wheels of the Senate turn". This is what Sheldon Wolin referred to as Inverted Totalitarianism or when the structures of liberal democracy are utilized in favor of tyranny against the people. Which of course is paradoxical to their stated purpose.
Ответитьhonestly i atcuallly quite like the ideal that palpatine is the villain that cant be beat by sheer force alone. People challange his ideal
ОтветитьId say "the coldest moment in clone wars" cuz daaamn that shit made me shiver
ОтветитьI LOVE how Palpatine turns to face the audience!
ОтветитьOh shit the fu*** blue asistant talked
Ответить
