in case anyone was confused/wondering about Kinich + Kachina’s lines not being voiced in the ENG dub: it’s due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike here in the US! VAs here want protection against AI and Formosa (aka the studio that most of genshin’s ENG VAs work under) is one of the struck studios that has still not signed the contract that would enshrine those protections… this means that until Formosa does sign we will continue to see content in future versions go unvoiced in the ENG dub… like the upcoming Sumeru event for example :(

if anyone would like more information about the strike i would highly recommend going over to Joe Zieja’s (Wriothesley’s ENG VA) channel and watching his video on the issue!

Hey btw did you know that Citlali has the same VA as March 7th? It's kinda cool, and weird. Because the way they talk is so different. But also, when march gets mad, it sounds the same as citlali, that's how it stands out that they have the same VA

Someone mentioned the weird mic glitch whenever citlali says “s” and now i cant unhear it im going crszy

I noticed a lot of people mind not having voice acting but personally I'm fine with a few voices missing, both in-game and in the video. The strike is important and it needs to happen because there is no conceivable way that publishers won't do their best to run production costs down by abusing AI tools and VA contracts. It's definitely not the VAs fault that a strike is needed to get some bare minimum protection.

As for it being resolved soon, let's put it this way: nowadays they put out unfinished games so frequently that I doubt they'll care about a little matter like the game not having voices. As long as it doesn't melt your computer and give people rabies, it's good to ship!

Not even 100% on that rabies thing, they might be fine with a few cases.

It was really awkward having no spoken lines for Kachina, Kinich and Ajaw. Took me out of the emotion of many scenes. Shout out to Citali's va for doing such a great job. Ororon, Mauvika and The Captain.

I know there's speculation of capitano being his dad but I believe they're one soul split into two. Captain has some weird soul shit going on and ouron is incomplete.

Im so glad i switched to jpn for the voiceover. Its so frustrating but the strike is very reasonable. The company the eng VA's are signed to cause so much trouble. I wish Hoyo moved all of them when they moved Paimon's VA
