The plot's a bit plodding, the racism, well.. and the title character a bit naive, yet this film ,for me, is worth watching for the dazzling cinematography of John Seitz. I can only imagine what it was like to see it on the "real silver screen". Henry King's direction is watch-worthy. too, and Spencer Tracy, Helen Morgan Sig Ruman and Ned Sparks are their star-like selves. Helen Morgan's singing alone is worth the watch. Thank you!
