Man, I sure do appreciate your thoroughness. I still haven't figured out what to go with for our motor coach (where we live full time, for now). We've been buying bottled water from Costco, and, aside from the obvious inconvenience, I wonder about what's in it.

One thing that can be done with an RO system in a mobile environment is to plumb the "waste" water back to the fresh water tank. The slight increase in concentration of whatever the RO is removing is of no consequence for the purposes of that water.

But 1200 or 1600 gallons per day! Wow! We only need a couple gallons per day at most for drinking and cooking. Not sure what happens to these systems in situations where they are "barely used" each day...

The thing I really like about the G3P800 is the dispensing volume. Most RO systems have a very small flow volume in comparison and I guess I'm too impatient for that. ;) I have noticed that the system automatically performs a flush a little while after I use it so that may be something to consider in your efficiency testing.

For city water, what do you think is now the 100% best system out there and what brand? I live in Northwest PA, so unsure what I'm targeting, but I'm looking at either whole home or reverse osmosis. Right now I have a berkey, but I'm at the point where I'm about to change filters again and wondering if it's worth changing.

Are there any faucet filters you’ve tested? What’s the best one?

Hi
Thank you for your video. Could you compare e.g Water drop, Cloud, Aqua tru vs bottle water (e.g Essensia, smart water)? Lab test both tap water, bottle water and RO water. Thank you im advance

any update on antimony? I was considering getting this until your finding on antimony.

Do you test shower heads? There's this company called Eskiin and they make a filtered shower head. The claims are pretty bold that they are mentioning: healthier hair, clear skin, etc... Would love to see the REAL results from your studies and I'm sure others as well!

I was really considering buying this system until I saw antimony in the filtered water. How reliable is this finding? There is no safe level of antimony.

Nice review, thanks for posting. One thing I think gets easily misunderstood is the GPD rating of these filters. Yes, it does give you the total gallons it can produce per day, but a more meaningful way of thinking about it could be in terms of fill rate instead. A 1200 GDP filter can produce 0.83 gallons of water per minute (1200GDP / 24 hours per day / 60 minutes per hour). That means you can fill a glass or water bottle at a rate of roughly 2 ounces per second. Systems with lower flow rates will take much longer. Maybe the super slow filling of a glass or large water bottle isn't an issue for most people, but I opted for the X12 because of the high flow rate. I couldn't justify the extra $500 for the X16, but $1000 for the X12 was a premium I could justify :)

I'm curious if the remineralization filter is adding in the antimony.

x12 vs x16 - the GPM throughput would be different, no?

I am wanting to hook this up to a Quooker, Pot Filler and Fridge and while the Fridge can work fine with a reduced throughput - the Quooker and Pot Filler should perform as if they were still attached to the wall. With most maximum flow rate being 1.8 GPM the x16 would have a 1.11 GPM flowrate and while that is 30% off of peak - it would still allow both devices to work as normal (although not at the same time).

Thoughts?

Great review! The antimony is concerning. I was wondering if its been detected in the other Waterdrop models, such as the G3 P600?

Can you compare your test results to SCA brew water recommendations? I’m looking to see if this is sufficient remineralization to directly
Plumb to my espresso machine. Thanks!
