Thanks for all the ideas. I love Liquid IV, but do remember that it's an electrolyte replacement for things like gastrointestinal illnesses and heavy workouts, so each pack has 500 mg of sodium in it. I will sometimes bring a tiny binder clip and pour 1/2 pack in my water bottle, and save the rest for another time. For protein, I will often bring the fixings for "chia fresca" with ground chia seeds, some honey and a packet of dried lemon to put in a bottle of water (or even put the ground chia seeds in with the 1/2 pack of Liquid IV). Chia seeds are an easy way to put protein and calcium into your diet, and they have essential amino acids in them, so - win. :) I love your channel and your willingness to delve into the potential issues the older woman faces when traveling (I'm 57).
ОтветитьI’ve been away from your channel for a while…loving your hair‼️great video ❤️
ОтветитьDid you bring an ice pack with you? I can't imagine that turkey sandwich being fresh and healthy to eat without it being on ice
ОтветитьI make tortilla sandwich roll-ups. airport food is crazy price
ОтветитьLove these suggestions, thank you so much! ❤
ОтветитьI have a really hard time avoiding LaFarm bakery at RDU no matter if I have good snacks in my backpack 😊
ОтветитьThank You, this gave me some great ideas for my trip in a few months. I also have an early flight (first fly of the day) and wondered what I can bring instead of buying.
ОтветитьOn my last flight from Amsterdam to Seattle the flight attendent announced that someone had a nut allergy on the plane and asked that no one eat anything they brought on board that had nuts. I felt that was the most extreme ask i have come across. Maybe the person with that sensitive of allergy should wear a mask and protect themselves and cqrry an epi pen. What about the airport and i pullmout a bag of nuts, what is the difference? I thnk we have gone to the extreme that several hundred people had to alter whet thry ate to accomodate one person that may or may not be affected. Thanks for the article.
ОтветитьYou should give Instant Hydration brand a try. No sugar added and they use Celtic Sea Salt instead of table salt. Overall just way better for you than Liquid IV.
ОтветитьAlso, I love your videos ❤
ОтветитьI take that same collagen, I absolutely love it!. But The protein that's in that collagen isn't a complete protein and your body doesn't ever absorb it. You can Google information about the protein and collagen. As I'm getting older I struggle with getting enough protein as well.
ОтветитьI hate to be the bearer of bad news but if you check the Vital Proteins nutritional information, you will notice that it provides 0% daily percentage of protein. Yeah, this was a real bummer for me when I figured it out months into taking Vital Proteins daily. So it has protein but it doesn’t count as protein, go figure. I continue to take it because I know it is good for my skin and hair but I no longer count it towards my daily protein intake. Of course, I counted it for months and still don’t quite understand why it doesn’t count but I would rather err on the side of getting enough protein not less.
ОтветитьReally helpful information 🙏
ОтветитьLook into Seeq protein. I love them and you mix with water!
ОтветитьI've been thinking about travel foods for the same reasons. So easy to spend way too much at the airport on foods that don't meet our current health goals. Usually by the time the flight attendant offers snacks, the boredom factor says sure! I'll be ready next time! Thanks for your great inspiration. ~ Pam
