Ist eine billige Armatur würde eine neue kaufen und montieren. Bei teuren Armaturen kann man die Kartusche als Ersatzteil bestellen inklusive neuen Dichtungen.Aber wenn man die Zeit hat kann man es auch so machen.🛠️

Always take a picture of the battery first, measure its pitch and go get a replacement cartridge. If they don't have them, buy a new battery. The old cartridge is irreparable, it is dried out by minerals from the water.

If I took that cartridge apart I would definitely have bits left over when I put it back together. The tap would explode when I turned it on. I'd call a plumber and it would cost more.

With my manual skills, the first thing that would fall down the drain would be the grub screw, making it impossible to find ... and in the end a plumber would have to come and fit a new tap anyway - so I'm one of the 94% who make sure that the trade survives.

Why not after all that trouble get a new cartridge? Just be careful to align it in the same orientation as the old one gets removed.

Mille grazie per questo video chiarissimo. Sono riuscito a sistemare una cartuccia Ideal Standard che era già stata sostituita in garanzia e sarebbe stata necessaria anche una seconda sostituzione. Anche se la mia cartuccia non è uguale a quella nel video, ci sono riuscito lo stesso e, con l'olio di silicone, adesso è meglio di quand'era nuova. Alla faccia dei grandi marchi...

Good job that you knew exactly how it went back to each other. Couldn’t you have just dropped the cartridge into a small bath of kettle descaler , left it for a while, working the on / Off, and turning it..?
