So STUPID…the write flyer did not rev up and take off from a grass field. They used a catapult. Ignorance is a teacher!

The first flight of fan a heavier-than-air, manned, powered airplane was on September 20,1904 at Huffman Prairie, Ohio, when Wilber Wright flew the WB's Flyer II above round effect and in a full circle for the first time.
The December 17, 1903 flights erroneously called the "the first flights" were merely forward hovers, as the WB's Flyer never rose above above ground effect.

The Wright brothers didn't "INVENT" the aeroplane. The first powers flight yes . But INVENTED !! Sir George Cayley, also called Sir George Cayley, 6th Baronet, (born December 27, 1773, Scarborough, Yorkshire, England—died December 8, 1854, Brompton, Yorkshire), English pioneer of aerial navigation and aeronautical engineering and designer of the first successful glider to carry a human being aloft.

The innovation of modern science rode on the back of fossil fuels. Without the ICE the brothers plane would have never got off the ground. A point often overlooked.

why is there no mention of Wrights' visit to england and their meet-up with the shorts bros, at mussel (or muswell) manor, isle of sheppey, kent uk ?? following on from their meetup shorts went on to form short's aircraft and there are the last remnants of the company still going today i believe........... by chance i rode down to the manor the other day - there's a statue of the shorts there beside the dusty road.

In this globalist controlled world today, most certainly the Wrights Brothers, would be deemed Nazi's , deplatformed , scrutinized, and ultimately arrested.

The WRONG BROTHERS were not the first to fly. Gustavo Whitehead flew 2 years before in 1901 multiple times in Bridgeport Connecticut. There were numerous witnesses including Bridgeport Police logs of people complaining about Whitehead flying overhead in his machine disturbing the peace. Whitehead may have even flown as early as 1899.

The WRONG BROTHERS spent much energy trying cover over Gustave Whitehead's flights in 1901, 2 years before the Wright Brothers, and Whitehead flew MULTIPLE TIMES in BRIDGEPORT CONNECTICUT..!!!! Not in Kitty Hawk!! The WRONG BROTHERS were late by 2 years!!

The WRONG BROTHERS should have asked Gustave Whitehead for instructions and help. Whitehead was flying controlled flights already in Bridgeport Connecticut in 1901, 2 years before them. Whitehead may have flown as early as 1899. What gets me is enormous effort the Wrights put in trying to discredit Gustave Whitehead.

(The logs of the Bridgeport Police Dept. registered observations about Whitehead in his flying machine overhead should be enough don't you think?)

Whright brothers soe just one simple thing to learn and know that was very easy to fly. A phenomenon of physic that they observe. We suppost to use the same phenomenon to make a fly saucer.

Glenn Curtiss deserves a lot of acclaim, but he was not working on a control system in 1908, no one was. Without the Wrights, Curtiss would have been a famous motorcycle racer, and part time derigible dude. Without Glenn Curtiss, the Wright Brothers would have been the Wright Brothers.

To put it in perspective in 1903, to say two brothers without HS diplomas that ran a bicycle ch invented something that the most educated, academic, highly-trained, and financially backed scientists in the world could not accomplish for over 400 years going back to DaVinci, is like in 2025 saying your next door neighbor who is a plumber by day just invented a time machine in the back of his garage. Look at all the great inventions of the world and they are almost exclusively from the most educated and royally-backed people. They were Yale and Harvard types backed by the Smithsonian, National Geographic, and other slush fund organizations throwing endless money their way. The Wrights basically built a time machine on their own dime and on their own time in the back of a bicycle shop and changed the world forever. There's really no other story like this in human history. And to make it even better, the precise moment they changed the world was captured in a photo. There was no photo when Graham Bell called Watson. No photo when Fleming invented penicillin. Even major world changing moments like Lincoln's speed at Gettysburg is a photo after he gave the speech and sat down. But in the case of the Wright Brothers, its literally the instantaneous moment. This whole storyline/matter of record is part genius and part complete luck/good fortune but its one of a kind in human history. Imagine if no photo existed or it was taken just after the plane came back to the ground. It wouldnt be the same. By the way, you can see the foot-steps in the sand around the wing where the plane was on the rails right before they launched the Flyer into the air. The Wrights were indeed worried about patent infringement and the court sided with them, but the war effectively trampled on their patents in an emergency ruling that broke a lot of precedence. Wilbur was the genius with the ideas, Orville was the extremely talented and clever brother with amazing technical and mechanical ability. They were stronger together.

Yes - they did this in their SPARE TIME.. as a HOBBY !
