This explains why I bumped into a bat in a castle last week. There were loads of them living on the top floor, there was a sofa 😂. Why live outside when you got a castle, smart animals lol.

He's not a pet he's a rescued orphan that I raised. Once older he'll be released back into the wild with the other orphan baby bats. I've been a bat rescuer for 10 years.
