How do you use the power buff of the 3 stack thing

activate by accident!? bro im hr 16 and havent done that once.

If you have the mount master armor sets. The moment you see the monster, you can instantly get a mount and create weak spots. After getting 3 weak spots, (and downing the monster), you can spam the ultimate and focus stab after the ult animation is over. Ive had 6 mounts in 1 fight before.

One thing I haven't seen a single person talk about:

While holding L2+R2 you can hold Triangle to charge up the Kinsect. Shooting it this way makes it pierce and collect multiple extracts.

on controller how are we supposed to perform descending thrust comfortably? how can i charge with b and the vault? and when i am charging and a monster moved behind me how do i adjust the camera to look at the monster if my thumb is charging on b and not on the analogic? many thanks

Chaining the strong descending slash rising combo with a mid air wound strike to immediately recover all extracts is so fun

Collecting all extracts was always so tedious in general, especially given you’re essentially useless without them, it’s so much smoother no, there’s barely a moment you won’t have all 3 extracts

Another tip: If you do the combo of 3x Triangle the last hit gets through the Monster, collecting up to three essences.
Very important for enemies where one part is well hidden, f.e. the body of nu udra.

Ig is so trash, without 3 essence, it is unplayable. Hold O down all the time while needed to press triangle? HELL NOO!!
Also offset attack is almost impossible to pull off regularly

As a fan and main i always had this one made up move.
An insect glaives last resort.
Instead of gathering extract the kinsect basically latches on to the hunters back and directly injects a phial of a fourth extract called Over Boost directly into the spinal chord.

It does three things. One: depending on the Kinsect species you either get a plus 30 boost to all elemental resistances for a limited time.
Or yout overall defense stats are increased by 50 percent.

The fourth extract is made by merging all the red, white and orange extracts together.

Cons. You cant use your kinsect. You cant jump with the glaive and your moves dont change.

But on top of the stat boosts you move faster on the ground and you get a power boost.

Wish they removed the stupid insect and the need to get the colors.
