It's ridiculous to compare this car to a Corvette. I think it compares more to a Camaro if you are comparing it with GM.

I always thought pink was just an awful color. I don't like pastels in general and then it's kind of a chalky faded out red. And it reminds me of Pepto Bismo.

As totally trashed as this car was it is amazing that one man, who was working a full time job, could restore the car to this level of beauty. I would like to know what it cost to rechrome the fenders?

Playmate pink is the color I want.
There were only one of certain models that were pink. They were painted at the manufacturer.
And I would never change it.
But this is my dream car. Dream because it's impossible to find any amx let alone afford one already done and playmate pink.
I can't believe this is THE car.

I just learn that Victoria of Ventri, The playmate who had owned the car before and who had shot her husband is now out of jail and has reacquired this car occasionally taking it to car shows. Life is strange.

Loved this one. Mark is low key and his car is great. Pink is the color for it too. Really pops.

Its funny he couldn't find a fender. I had a 70 and I had the same problem. I had such a hard time finding parts I sold it. Loved the car and now absolutely wish I had it back!!!

My friend Bob and I drove my new Beetle down to the American Motors Dealer in Denver and sat alone inside of their first AMX in a really cramped garage space. We could only see the interior which we sat in for a few minutes. We didn't have enough room to stand back and look at it.
Always loved the lines of this original design.

Believe it or not, I remember when the playmate of the year was actually getting a pink AMX. At the time I was both a big fan of Mark Donahue, and the AMX/javelin. And playboy magazine lol.
