Hi Freddie, quick question...is parking in London actually free? I haven't ridden and parked in the centre of town in ages but I am sure I remember that Westminster introduced a parking fee for bike bays? Hardly anyone knew about it and a load of folks where complaining as bikes started getting tickets...

I bought that same Age of Glory jacket from The Veloce club in Hitchin, just before Christmas. I can’t wait to ride with it!
I gave mine a precautionary spray with some waterproofing treatment before using it for the first time.
It’s a lovely jacket!

I never buy helmets without an inner sun visor, never!

Got the same helmet a few months ago. I like it, but it does whistle at high speeds. Great for a backup helmet or for passenger.

Love the new lid Freddie, great colour and finish. Please don’t put the white lettering on the outside when you fit your new tyres, looks so much cooler without!

I also have the John Doe helmet, I've loved it since i bought it. Only downside i found with it is the visor isn't Pinlock, so is prone to misting in some conditions. Otherwise it is a great helmet. Safe riding!

Freddie. As far as the tires on the Jeep go. You mentioned thinking they have white writing. I assume its the same in the UK as it is in canada. But nearly all tires come with one Side white writing and the other side just plain black. And you can specify to the shop if you want “white side out” or in. They just mount them whichever way you ask for. So if you like that. Make sure to ask as the default is normally black aide out. 😊

I hate to be that guy but I don’t think motorbike parking in Soho (Westminster) is free. Just to keep in mind for your next trip! I used to have to pay £1 a day when I worked in Soho which you could do online and pay daily/monthly etc.

I think most (maybe all) other boroughs are free in bike bays but you have to pay even in marked bays in the City of Westminster zone.

And yes, I found out the above the expensive way!

I don’t know how you find all these quiet London roads, Freddie?! I rode into the city last year as a ‘treat’ and had one of the most hellish rides of my riding career. Never again. 😂

Whats the wind noise like? My Bell bullit is loud without earplugs. More of a City helmet or would you do some light touring with it?

It’s amazing they park those motorcycles so close together! And you would think of somebody came along and accidentally ran into one of the end motorcycles they would all go flying on the ground and I’ll be scratched up! Crazy London

Freddie get yourself some bike jeans with armour, will give you far better protection if you go down the road.

Great video Freddie, your new gear looks very dapper! Motorcycle helmets should be replaced after about 5 years as recommended by most manufactures. Shell protection degrades over time due to exposure to UV, and weather/ contaminates in the air. Visors should of course be replaced more frequently 😉

I still can't believe the lack of decent security on the other bikes in the bay! Yes, we shouldn't have to turn our bikes into a version of Fort Knox when we park, but it's a reality in London 😞

I live in Germany and I know the John Doe brand. They also make some really great riding gear. I have a fully armoured jacket and shirt that are very good quality and value for money. They also have a cool flagship store in cologne that is well worth a visit.
