I stepped on a nail and it actually went through my foot I don’t remember it much as I was younger but I’ve always had a high pain tolerance

So, most people have an average number of pain receptors. Because we all kind of have a similar amount regardless of size. People who are smaller have pain receptors that are closer together. So people who are physically smaller (woman and children) will “feel” more pain because there are more receptors closer together.

People who have red hair or close relatives with red hair require more anesthesia than others.

I was chasing my little brother's through the house as kids and got stopped dead in my tracks ,I look down wondering why I couldn't move and saw there was a bent nail sticking out of the floor that went through the middle of my first three of my toes like a skewer and was poking out the third. It just happened so fast that the only time I felt anything was when my mother had to pull my foot loose from the nail.

My father was awake for his his pacemaker surgery. The paralytic didn't allow him to say anything. When the doctor came to see him, my father told him about it. The doctor didn't believe him until he started quoting the doctor's and nurses conversations.

Oh I woke up during an operation thankfully it I was able to move but I immeadilty tried to pull tubes out of my throat and was fighting with the staff trying to keep all tubes and IVs in. The last I heard was "push more (a drug for anesthesia) then I blacked out" I was so emberassed and apologized to all my docs and nurses. They were very nice about it but its on my med HX to give me more anesthesia then the normal amount. No issues since 😂

The worst pain is to give fact(the truth) to someone dumb enough that they hurts everytimes they know the facts(another types of KAREN)

I had an infected tooth actually explode inside my mouth at 35,000 feet on a United Flt heading to the middle east. We were half way across the Atlantic. Several passengers gave me 30mg oxycodone tablets and the Flt attendant gave me 5 mini bottles of Jack Daniel's and I finally calmed down. As soon as we landed in Heathrow I was taken by ambulance to a dentist office where the remainder of tĥe tooth was pulled. Dentist mentioned he had never seen anything like that.

you can block out pain to some degree. As a kid who got spankings fairly often, I trained myself to block the pain in my mind. It's like I could feel it, but it no longer hurt. That ability still comes in handy sometimes, but it doesn't work on all pain

Once you surpass the age of 20 you start to experience body and Joint pains for no reason 😂

That's the thing about pain. It demands to be felt.

Fun fact the brain itself can't actually feel pain. It can't feel anything. The brain is truly amazing it can actually change your body in a number of physical ways. Like feeling pain when there is none.

I can confirm you don’t sometimes feel the impact of pain because I was unloading wood a few days ago and smashed my thumb I had a second and a half until I felt it pain doesn’t just instantly hurt

I hit my head when I was younger now for 8 years I've had a random pain every month that feels like someone has smacked me in the back of the head with a shovel.

I've been to the doctors 5 times as they say it's nothing.
