That horse—if you watch—that horse was crazy for Viggo, and I LOVED that scene

Viggo Mortensen pours so much warmth and affection into his delivery of “For Frodo.” You can tell how much Aragorn really loves Frodo like a little brother.

You know, putting Frodo’s situation aside, and looking at this as just an attack on Mordor just like the one at the end of the second age, the army of men could stand a pretty good chance if they fought right where the gates open. Outnumbered 10 to 1 but make the armies of Mordor fight in a tunnel 1 on 1 instead of 10 to 1 🤷🏻‍♂️

One of my best memories of my childhood was me and my friend going to see this in cinema. We were only kids and when they did the forward charge my friend stood up and pointed at the screen and said - ‘Gandalfs fucking rapid!’ And the cinema burst out laughing. Great moment.

People want to argue that it was okay for Rings of Power to deviate from the lore because the Jackson movies did as well. And while the Jackson movies for sure deviated it is so apparent to me that so much of what was done to them was for the sake of it being a trimmed telling of the story and they made changes to make it more coherent and exciting, but that time and again they paid homages to the books where they could even if it isn't explained. For example there was a cut of the movie where instead of Aragorn fighting a troll he is fighting Sauron, and they decided to cut it because it didn't happen that way in the books and it felt like it took away from Frodo's battle with the Ring and Gollum. But on the flip side you see Legolas struggling to save Aragorn, and it seems a little out of place in the theatrical cut, but I think there is a reason why it is there, and it is because they filmed it around the Sauron fight scene. I think this is the case because this mirrors the battle Elendil and Gil Galad had with Sauron in the Second Age another fight that was cut from the theatrical release. In that fight Gil Galad the High King of the Elves is the first to engage Sauron and is killed, meanwhile Elendil tries to come to his aid, but is too late, and is subsequently also killed. I think they were trying to mirror that scene in this battle, and instead have Aragorn fighting Sauron and Legolas coming to try to save him as clearly he is outmatched. The scene was obviously changed heavily, but these little details are what prove to me that the Jackson movies while imperfect in regards to the lore, definitely had it heart in exactly the right place, and it is why it deserves a pass for its deviations. Rings of Power on the other hand seems to have had such little thought put into it, and therefore its deviations or rather downright ignoring of the lore cannot be forgiven in the same way.

I don't think there will ever be a better audience experience in a theaters than what these movies provided. Unless you've been there you have absolutely no idea. The level of emotional investment felt through the air. There were so many tears, and then literally entire theater cheered and celebrated as if their life depended on what was happening. It was magical.
And can't help but notice incredible use of silence in this movie, and this scene in particular. That moment where everything goes quiet before Aragorn whispers "For Frodo" made it crash down on you like a hammer, and have an impact it would've not otherwise.

I recently watched all three extended editions in theaters in one day and the moment when Aragorn is giving his speech was so, so moving. It was the end of the journey, but a great one at that. When they all charged you could feel what they felt, and it was beautiful

What is the point of living blind to engineering or without materials to work? There are two kinds of people in the world, my friend. Those who engineer, and those waiting to die. "M-O-O-N, spells moon." -The Stand
😆. This is a waste of a life. I don't appreciate the secrecy in the university courses, either. C'mon spill the artisan stuff. C'mon. What was WWII about?
Credit to "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly"
Jesus? He died to say you'll engineer after your dead.
What was Russia founded on? The Occult? Engineering is the most haunted place on the entire planet and has been so since before Ancient Egypt. There is literally an army of undead billions waiting for materials and instructions. Good luck.

"For Frodo."
I lost count of how many times I have replayed the scene when Aragorn charges as the Fellowship theme plays. This part is even more epic when you realize that the choir is singing what Aragorn said to Frodo in the first film "If by my life or death, I can protect you I will, you have my sword." in Sindarin as Aragorn leads the charge.

When the eagles arrive you can see hope restored as it gives a sense of divine intervention.

This entire scene is perhaps the greatest film climax ever written, it makes you feel so many emotions at once.
