A screwdriver is not a weapon unless it is used to attack, and injure someone. Then, it becomes offensive weapon. Unless used in self defense. Pepper spray, and stun guns, are SUPPOSED to be self defense. However, in this case, they were used to assault the employee, who was just dojng his job. Therefore, the spray, and stun gun became offensive weapons. I believe a case of aggravated assault could be quite possible.

Question for anyone with experience on this -- If you have to use OC spray indoors, will it affect the air all throughout the store? Or just the ones it makes physical contact with? I'd hate to affect the health of innocent people if I ever had to use it indoors.

Since the police can't solve these pretty crimes, they need to change the law for law abiding citizens, allowing for use of force in prevention of theft, up to and including deadly force. Theft would stop overnight.

So fortunate no one was truly harmed in this case and everyone is safe.
