This pack would have been incredible at normal prices. Especially since a lot of these cards are highly talked about it would have been a cool way to get cheap versions of the cards for an average persons collection or just for people into the game to actually use.

No 30 years of magic to get a chance to get expensive proxies is dumb. It could have been done way better.

the anniversary box couldve been for so many more people, if they didn't have that price tag. i mean they print their first official proxies (I count gold borders as collectors edition) and price them at non-proxy value. which completely goes against the reason to get proxies.
imagine this 4-box was priced at 200$ or even 40$
i don't think the price of the alphas/betas... wouldve tanked (maybe slightly decreased or stagnated) because people who actually buy the original one, would either want the originals or both (original AND proxy), not either. and people who cant afford original cards have no impact on their pricing.

Buying this is a Disgrace to Magic Players, Opening it live is worse, this box was not made for the average consumer, this video should never be made!

This could of been an amazing thing. Everyone could of enjoyed the magic anniversary. With a normal booster price we could of had some awesome limited events.

If the whole set was retro border and inked heavy like actual beta, there's a brief period of time when I was insane enough I'd have dropped a grand if it was a whole booster box. Finding out it was 4 packs and only like 8 of those were anywhere close to the actual nostalgia look? Fuuuuuuu no. Everything about that release was trash and I'm glad the market spoke on that and barely any sold.

I can sell you 700 Poxied (because that is what these are) Black Lotus from China for less then 200 dollars, why waste your money on this.

If I wanted a lotus, I’d get a proxy with better art. This “product” is a spit in the face to all of Magic’s history and its community. That’s why it was only available for sale for 40 minutes and Wizards took it down. It sold miserably in that time, and it’s not hard to see why.

That product was the reason i walked away from magic for over a year. What could have been a fun way to give back to the community. Instead they priced a proxy product to only be for the stupid rich. Honestly if they priced it at 10 bucks for 4 packs it would have brought everyone together. Instead it pissed off so many people that half the people i knew that played walked. Pure cash grab..
