GoPro HERO5 Review | Black and Session

Really disappointed that the new GoPro doesn't feature 4k 60p. If it did, this purchase would be a no brainer. Until then, I see no reason to upgrade from my Hero 3, which is getting really old!

I use GoPro's in salt water and I've noticed over time (even with rinsing them off after) that the buttons start to stick. With there being no waterproof case do you think I'll have the same issues with the hero 5?

Awesome looking area. did you say before, west coast Canada? Isn't just the build of the hero 5 better? After my hero 2's, they seemed to be cheapy built. the feel, the doors, the plastic. Seems to me, now with no case needed, the overall build quality is better.

I have the Hero4 Silver. Was looking to get a second, but I think with the release of this newer model I can probably get another Hero4 Silver even cheaper now. I know what my Black Friday or Cyber Monday purchase will be.

I previously used Contour+2 HD camera as it is very discreet and has laser adjustment for setting the camera horizontal wherever you fix it. Now my question would be which one to get for mostly motorcycle riding the Session 5 or Hero 5 ??

I really want to get the session or the hero 5, but I'm hesitating. I won't use it that often so I am more for the session one, but I am worried that if the battery breaks the whole thing breaks. Overall, I won't be using it too often, so what do you think? Thaaanks 🙈🤷🏻‍♀️

I'm gonna get the session 5 for snowboarding. it has almost as much as the hero 5 black and those extras are things I wouldn't need or even use... GPS wouldn't get used and a touch screen is something I can go without. The small size is great and I can get a good deal on it.

Oh boy, after watching this video I wish I bought the Black instead of the Session. Recently purchased it from Best Buy, took it out of the box and starting messing with it. Very good review. I own a Hero 4 Silver and whilst I don't need one I'd like a Hero 5. It's seems a worthwhile upgrade.

my question is that I would like to buy one and put it on the cab of my truck to record and I go with 80km/h will it have a lot of wind noise and will the big wind the force of it ruin the mic? Plus i would like to know does it need a memory card to record to and how big is the storage space. And can the battery be changed? I plan to make a few hours of video. To film a trucking trip with out editing and cuting.

Plus I would like to know how well can it handle shocks like if I want to make a low angle video and attach it to the front axle of the truck. Its an offroad truck so its pretty high but Im scared that the vibration and stuff might damage the camera. Does it have like a protective transparent case against rocks and shit like that? Like if you have it on your bike but fall.

All the black bodied cameras are awesome, much improved over the gold. I tend to use my session 5 the most, but my 5 black is perfect otherwise.
