Guitar sounds great but I can't stand goldtops.
ОтветитьIs that a diezel v4 behind you....😗
ОтветитьWow! The jam at the beginning was awesome! Where can I find more music? Beautiful guitar too. Congrats! \m/\m/
ОтветитьThat little tune you made was smokin bro...awesome tone, sick playing
ОтветитьSounds awesome
ОтветитьI'm looking for an 89 custom for the same reason! I have a 1990, close but not the same.
ОтветитьThose with mini ,s are tone monsters.
ОтветитьBuying guitars is like dating. U buy one guitar then get tired of it so buy another one. U date someone u may get tired of them and hence get another one. Only difference is that the guitar wont abuse and say stuff like "its over". 😂😂
ОтветитьRad gold top! I love a little history too. Troglies is great
Ответитьthe 2 sexy babes at one vids
ОтветитьDon't buy guitars online. I recently received a gold top GIBBON in the mail. Now I have to argue vendor literacy in court.
ОтветитьSo cool Robert ! I've got a Gold Top w/P90s and a Bigsby (not a $40,000 one). I love the pickups.
ОтветитьI watch for the nerdy parts. Congratulations. A Bigsby with a Vibramate sets off a Soap bar Goldie real nice.
ОтветитьI’ve been in Tall Toad; it’s a very cool place. Bought my son a couple instruments there. Good people.
ОтветитьFantastic! I know because I am lucky enough to own one just like it. My favorite neck on a Les Paul. Just the right size and shape for me and
it is sooo playable. I didn't care for the P100's too much so I decided to NeilYoungize it and put an original 60's Firebird pickup in the bridge position and had a nice Bigsby installed. More recently I had a Duncan Vintage P90 put in the rhythm position. All else is stock and is in excellent condition. Got it in the mid-90's and have taken good care of it. So now I am happy you have one too! BTW, that was a killer demo you gave on it!
Congrats man! I’ve got a tele coming in tomorrow I think you inspired me to make a reveal video! 🤙
ОтветитьIt’s been a long time since I’ve had a guitar that got me that excited . It’s such a cool thing to see on someone else. Congrats Robert!
Ответить1989? Jesus, I was out of high school and working full time. My first guitar is a 1985 ibanez artist . Not that being born in 1989 is bad, at least your not a milenial , although there are some period sensitive millenials that have a work ethic as well. Why am I apologizing for statistics?
ОтветитьHey! What about those Fralin hum-canceling P90's. They're a heck of a lot quieter.
ОтветитьIn the spirit of the nerd....rubber hangers leave marks because of the plasticizer in the lacquer and the rubber. It wants to get together and have a party. Plastcizer migration to be exact. Nerd trivia.
ОтветитьSo 100% on board here. When I was young (I'm now... not) I couldn't imagine why people liked a Goldtop. I was all, "That looks so lame." and "That's a guitar for country players." Then, something magical happened and I saw the light. Mine even has P90s, as well, though I swapped mine for a set of DiMarzios ("Tone Zone P90" in the bridge and "Virtual P90" in the neck) and they sound so good for rock, blues, literally anything. Great catch, Robert. Cheers.
ОтветитьShould keep him happy for about a year or so till GAS hits again!!
ОтветитьTalk to much
ОтветитьToo funny, I have recently been searching for a Les Paul from 1980 because it's my birth year. A few days ago I pulled the trigger on a Les Paul Standard Faded from 2005, my daughter's birth year.
Congrats on the new axe! It sounds awesome!
Congratulations on the Goldtop, I always dig you're video's
ОтветитьCongrats, I always wanted one like that a p90 goldtop.
ОтветитьHow someone hate on a lesson Paul gold top. Prettiest geetar on this here planet. Don't argue with me either. 😏
ОтветитьJeff Lynne played most of ELO's hits in the 70s on a Gold Top Les Paul with P90s...
ОтветитьNice man...really nice
ОтветитьSweet! Another great find!
ОтветитьI am from Canada, and in November I was in Austin TX and bought a Les Paul special which had those P90's. I LOVE THEM. Great choice, keep up the good work.
ОтветитьNice! Congrats!
ОтветитьI’m always looking for 89’ guitars myself also a June baby.. mines the 20th how about you?
ОтветитьLove a Gold top with P90's
Ответить🤟😁🤘
ОтветитьI have a goldtop reissue, and buying it was a life changing moment. Such amazing sounding and looking guitars!
Ответитьgreat guitar congratulations and even a more amazing playing wow you got it all don't you brought all the power to you! The best of luck with the guitar and a happy and healthy New year for you and your wife
ОтветитьPRS
ОтветитьGreat guitar: lucky guy
ОтветитьCongratulations Robert!
ОтветитьMy wife bought me a Synth 9 Pedal ( of course I had to show her what it was ) in NOV for an early Christmas present and jokingly gave me crap about saying, here we go again you pick out your own gift & get it early.
ОтветитьI love the gold tops
ОтветитьOh wow. That thing makes you play better man.
ОтветитьCheck out Mojotone Quiet Coil P90's
ОтветитьHey Rob. I have been playing for about 25 years. I decided about 6 m9nths back to add string skipping arpeggios to my playing ( like Paul Gilbert and Nino Bettencourt use), as I'm not really good at sweep picking. however I can't stop the g string from sounding a bit when I skip from there to the high e. any muting advice?
ОтветитьRobert, congrats on your dream guitar. Really happy for you.
I'm a beginner. Yep, another one! At one point in the video you said you looked up the serial number on it. Can you link me to where you look it up on a Gibson? I went to the Gibson site and I couldn't find a way to look up serial numbers.
i think its trog-lee....im pretty sure thats how its pronounced...another great channel !!!!
ОтветитьI wonder if the original owner ever reached out to Robert about this one.
ОтветитьEnjoy the Goldtop! I'm glad I could help!
