What about borrowing cash loans and using that debt to offset income. Ex: earn $500k per year, get a loan worth $500k, eat and live off the loan and pay it back with your income. (You’ll owe interest rates vs owing taxes).

Swewj, Seems you messed up. A $100K investment in a major film only leads to a $100K deduction. Nothing in excess of that. Doesn’t seem a very smart thing to do, if that’s the case because that forces you to outlay effectively fresh funds for the investment over and above the tax savings and it would appear that a film investment is unusually risky.
