@buletzAA Those "reasonable people" are going to get a rude awakening if they continue to infringe upon our freedoms.

@Kestra84 We are independent thinkers inasmuch as we choose for our selves where to go to get educated. Are we original? No. But,the great truths are not original ideals, but ideals sanctified by the test of time. Their greatness comes from their very unorginalness. Liberty, limited government, capitalism, etc. have time & again been proven true by experience, but must be restated anew by each generation. To understand this movement,I susgest you read "Give Me Liberty" by Dick Armey & Matt Kibbe.

....Ethos is such an apro-po term to encapsulate the tea party movement of today. As was the case in 1773.

@Kestra84 "They are such independent thinkers! So original!" I don't think your sarcasm is necessarily indicting. The Tea Party never claimed to be independent or original. If that was their aim they wouldn't have named their movement after something old, would they? They'd call it something like MoveOn.org. No, the Tea Party is a reaffirmation of the old values that made America great, in light of the fact that the attempt at orginality called "progressivism" is sending America down the toilet.

@Kestra84 Really? Is that what you think? Did you arrive at this thought through research, attending Tea Parties and interviewing people who identify with the Tea Party movement? Is that how you came to that conclusion? Because it sounds just like you got your talking points from the same misinformed twits who report the news on MSNBC. It sounds just like you're only reiterating exactly what you've been told. Because you clearly have no clue who or what the Tea Party movement is about.

Oh yeah, the Tea Party is certainly "going around" the main broadcasters to get their information from such reliable sources as Andrew Breitbart or Pamela Geller. They are such independent thinkers! So original! Which is why a book endorsed by Beck becomes a best seller. Because the Tea Party people aren't followers. Oh no! They are boldly hosting rallies all by themselves, and are definitely not funded by anybody at all. Which is why their second ever convention was just canceled.

@TheIAchilles Uh, no, that is not what I said at all. Let me put it this way. It is easier to argue for gay marriage (equal rights for all) than it is to argue against universal medical coverage.

@whoo689 Years ago the man who introduced me to libertarianism explained it perfectly. The Republicans are the lesser of two evils because their agenda is so easy to shoot down. The Democrats, however, are harder to tackle because it's hard to explain why "helping people" is bad without people shutting you out. Their intentions are good but the means are horrible but most people can't separate the two.

The left can't understand who and what the tea party is and it drives them nutz, because they believe they know everything and the tea party confuses that belief system. Thank you for this video. God Bless the Tea Parties!
