I have lived just outside of downtown Doylestown for 20 years. We raised our daughter here and she went to Central Bucks schools. It is a great town. We are now downsizing and moving to the Jersey shore. Doylestown will always be in our hearts.

Hello there! My husband and I are considering Bucks County to retire in… I am a massive fan of old homes, and we would like a walkable area, and good churches, safe, etc.… Any recommendations? Could you maybe do one for retirees?

Good accurate facts about Yardley (pop.2500) its clean and crime free, but whats unique is it borders the Delaware river, has a lake in the center of town, and canal state park running thru it.

We are considering Quakertown to move into. Do you know what the school district is like? Is there anything we should be aware of (crime, etc)? Thanks in advance!

I was surprise that Levittown made the list. Been here in the North Park section for 13 years and I have seen vast improvement in the community but If I could have had a better choice It would have been Yardly or Huntington Valley that borders NE Philadelphia.
