I would have thought that Athing's pacing would have been worse, but no, it was actually really great for a 400 runner, let alone any athlete. 1 second positive split, so she ran pretty even 400s.
I just realised her last 200 split was her second fastest of the race, she had an insane finish. I got her down at like 12.7 for the final 100, if it wasn't so bunched up and if someone didn't trip against her, she likely would have broken the American record. Imagine that. A 19 year old breaks the American record.

Mu saw everyone was pushing for the third 200 and she was just like "Ok, I'll join the party."

Everyone just KNEW she was gonna win before the trials. But I was thinking the 800 is so much more unpredictable than the 400, (due to it being a contact sport)...please don't let the disastrous happen in any of the rounds...and whew that was a close call at the start 😳

If Mu stays healthy she will be the next big thing in track and field because I believe she can also be the best in the world in the 400 meters as well.

Indeed, that women 4×4 at the Olympics will be stacked for the U.S. I also have Sydney and Athing Mu but I'm not sure who else will run it.
