I wish I had some of those filter pliers, The filter removal band I use is a pain in the ass and on more than one occasion has damaged the old oil filter, making it extremely difficult to get off. I always use the filter removal band to tighten up the new oil filter again, after 6-8k miles I usually find that it's a pain in the ass to remove again. maybe I should just tighten it up by hand and have an easier time removing it next time, I'm just worried it will work its way loose between services by only hand tightening it. The car spends most of it's life between 3k and 6.5k revs (1.25L 2015 Ford Fiesta) mainly because it's only 82HP and to get it to move you have to thrash the ass off it, which is another reason it gets an oil and filter change every 6-8k miles. once every 12 months it gets a cabin filter and an air filter and I also check the condition of the spark plugs, I usually change those every other year and to be fair they have never really needed to be changed I just do it anyway. It's due a Cam Belt this year (not a job I can do myself). Probably the best looked after daily driven Ford Fiesta in the world, I do about 18K miles a year in it so need it to be reliable.
