“Vulnerability’s the new cool.”

For Season 11 Episode 11 (Therapy), we invited the one and only Shocka to share his life story plagued with mental health issues.

He talked about his family life and being his mum’s only child, this creating an extraordinary bond between them. He discussed school days; growing up on the infamous Broadwater Farm Estate; his music journey, from being a part of the oldschool grime collective ‘Marvel’ alongside Double S and Vertex; to embarking on a solo career; suffering the death of both his parents within two years; getting sectioned and sent to a mental home numerous times and much more.

We then put him through his ‘RTM Fire Round’ before getting into some ‘Current Affairs’. We had a break for ‘RTM Banter’ at some point and the main subject was “Therapy.”

The ‘RTM Dilemma’ and ‘Book Suggestion’ closed the show as usual, along with some RIP’s & 3’s. We added a new section where we scroll through some of the previous show’s comments and reply back to a few of them. This section is aptly named “RTM Comments.”
