I just got done reading Enoch 3. And there was others like the princes of the heavens named with Yhwh after there initial name.. also some of the bigger ones were the size of all 7 heavens combined. So even more were described as some ridiculous creatures exactly like metatron

You are mixing up the story of Elisha Ben avuya. The story is entirely based in the Talmud in maseches kiddushin when Rabbi akiva, elisha Ben avuya, Ben away, and Ben zomah transcended into heaven. (The explanation for this story is that they meditated and reached the highest levels but that’s a much more complicated topic that I have no patience typing up rn) unfortunately all but rabbi akiva were at the spiritual level where their consciousness could handle what they were seeing. Between Ben azay and Ben zomah on died and one went mad (I don’t remember which did which) Elisha Ben avuya became a heretic when he saw metatron because he thought he saw a second god which is when he made that proclamation and rabbi akiva is the only one that came out unscathed. Elisha Ben avuya was then called “Acher” which means other.

Similar story idea: An 18 year old is in bed and gets a visit from their crush, who comes on to them. The protagonist is excited but doesn’t get why they’re there, and the crush confesses that it’s actually just their body, not the full person.
